Can anyone help me, I got my results back from the hospital and my ferritin is 179, this seems very high, can anyone confirm if it is high or if anyone knows why that would be ? X

What did the hospital say? If they weren't concerned I wouldn't be either.

@irishfarmer they didn't say anything, it was just a letter they sent out with the results. My friend who's a week ahead of me, hers was 50? I feel there's such a difference in between them

A quick Google says that normal levels for women are between 11 and 307 so going by that it's seems fine.

Probably best to ring your surgery though just to put your mind at rest 😊

@Nelliephant1 thank you so much. I feel I was Googling and googling and every answer was different so I was confused ! I actually have an appointment on Friday for my 12 week scan I might just ask there. I would assume if there was any concern they would have phoned me but I just worry myself so much xx

It's totally natural to worry but if they were worried they'd definitely have given you the heads up and asked to see you.

Good luck with your scan, it sounds like everything is just fine 😊 x

@Nelliephant1 yeah I kind of thought that myself, just when my friend said hers was 50 I freaked out even more thinking mine was so high, I'll just be sure to ask on Friday! Thank you so much, hope everything is going good for u xx
