Just that really. I'm 17 weeks and a few days and I just don't feel like I'm pregnant at all. Things were fine at my scan but my 16 week appointment was done over the phone due to covid so I didn't get to hear a heartbeat. I just really don't feel pregnant at all. Do I sit tight until 20 weeks or do I reach out to my midwife? I don't want to waste their time if this is normal?

I was really unwell (HG) my whole pregnancy last time so didn't really go through this.. and got to hear the heartbeat around now. So I'm not sure what to do.

When you say you don't feel pregnant, do you mean that you don't feel sick and you can't yet feel the baby moving? If so, that's completely normal OP - I think it's usually around 17-18 weeks that many women feel those first little flutters of foetal movement.

If you heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks I would sit tight and wait until your 20-week scan, unless you have other symptoms that you are worried about. If you do, then yes, call your midwife. But at this stage a lack of any feelings of being unwell is expected as first trimester tiredness and nausea often disappears in the second.

Yes last time was so sick, had big sore boobs and was starting to have a bump by now (especially after eating, proper bloating!) and nothing this time. Feel exactly as I do when I'm not pregnant! I will sit tight and wait. Thanks.

I honestly didn't really feel pregnant until about 23 weeks with my first baby and that was when I started feeling movements. Bump came a bit sooner with round 2 but even then nothing significant until well into second trimester. Don't worry, am sure all is well Smile

Seconding foreverbaffled - I didn't feel pregnant till around 23/24 weeks and in my area they wouldn't listen to the heartbeat at the 16 week appointment!

Where I am they don't listen to heartbeat at 16 weeks either. I had a private scan at 17 weeks to tide me over til the 20 week scan and we heard the heartbeat then.

This was me a few weeks ago.

I was quite sick in my first trimester then felt normal from around 12/13 weeks and then felt normal! I kept wondering if all is okay, especially as I had covid at 15 weeks.

We’ve just had our 20 week scan this morning and everything was looking okay, so you just have to trust the process!

Soon you will get a bump and start to feel some movements (both happened at 19ish weeks for me) and it’s more reassuring.

This was me for 6 weeks after my 12 week scan.

No bump, barely any weight gain, no movement, no symptoms. I didn't feel pregnant at all.

Then at 18 weeks I started to feel him moving and I felt much better.
