How long before brown blood turns red?

Long story short I’ve had a feeling this pregnancy was doomed since the day I found out about it as my lines weren’t dark enough (I think I implanted late). I tried to be happy but anxiety plagued me and I finally started scant brown spotting when I wipe on Thursday at 6+2. I’m now 6+5 and the spotting is still there. Sometimes there are bits of red in it but on a whole it’s just brown. No pain or cramping so far just what I’d describe as an occasional womb ache. My local EPU have agreed to scan me on Tuesday.

From what I’ve read there’s only a 50/50 chance from here that this will turn out well. Has anyone else had this? How long did it take before the brown bleeding turned into a full flow?

I bled with all three of my pregnancies. Two turned out well so there is still a chance. In fact I bled a lot with my most recent and all was good.
With the one that didn't the blessing got heavier over three days. I had quite a lot of cramping.

Everything crossed for you. Take care if yourself. Flowers

I had bleeding with my second baby and I was under the impression that brown blood meant it was older rather than fresh and might be an indication it’s stopping rather than leading to fresh red blood

I bled for 8 days this pregnancy between 6 and 7 weeks including some red blood and cramping. Really stressful and difficult and horrible. Now 15 weeks and no further bleeding, no cause ever found. I know this is torture, look after yourself.

I had light bleeding with 2 out of 4 pregnancies. One stopped after a couple of days and the other stopped and started throughout the pregnancy. At one point I had red blood around 28 weeks but they just said I'd overdone it shopping and needed to rest more.

Thank you for your stories everyone :) I’ll update on Tuesday with the outcome. My symptoms are still there at least and the nausea is the worst it’s been so far. Clinging onto a little bit of hope there.

Hi did you have an update on what happened x

ZoeQ90 · 27/06/2022 12:19

I had brown spotting for two weeks, no check or scan in that time. Then a few days bleeding and miscarriage was confirmed.

Ooh sorry I never came back did I x__x

Unfortunately it was a missed miscarriage diagnosed at 9 weeks (though we were pretty sure at 7 when they said there was no heartbeat). The two weeks that they made me wait in between the scans were really horrible but the actual miscarriage itself was as ok as something like that can be. We had lots of takeaways and gin and my husband stayed home from work for a few days to be with me so we painted the bedroom haha.

I guess sometimes you just know when something is wrong.

This is our third month trying again now and I'm in the TWW. Fingers crossed :)
