Downs Syndrome Blood Test and first routine blood test - when do you take them?

My MW just filled in two blood bag things for me to sort out, one for Downs Syndrome blood testing which goes alongside the 12 weeks scan somehow, and my first antenatal blood test but I have 3 different 'times' for the DS blood test - MW said alongside the 12 week scan, so I took that as 12 weeks, sonographer said from 10 weeks and the back of the bag says 14-15 weeks. Does anyone know when I should go and do it? And anyone know how you get a blood test? Do you just turn up at the blood testing bit of the hospital with your bags? Thanks
