Anyone had a pregnancy in unknown location?

I’ve had some bleeding and think I’m around 5weeks + 4days. I’ve been to had a scan and they said from my urine I’m pregnant but scan is unknown location. Anyone had this and what did this mean for you?

@Emmah120595 this happened to me, I went for an early scan as I have pcos and had no idea how far on I was, when I went, my uterus was completely empty, she couldn't see anything at all but she said my uterine thickness looked good. I was referred to early pregnancy for further scans incase it was ectopic but everything ended up fine, I'm almost 12 weeks now x

Yes this happened to me too. I took a test and it was positive I was 4 days late for my period but I didn’t feel pregnant at all so I was confused by the test left it a week took the other test as it was a box of 2, the line was just as faint, I went to see my gp told her I should be 5.5 weeks pregnant and I don’t feel pregnant at all, had no cramping to say it’s growing in my uterus, test lines very faint not getting darker. She was not worried but I insisted, she rang EPU they told me to come down Monday morning this was the Friday, the gp took blood and off I went, Monday I went to EPU, told her something was wrong and she said she believes me a woman knows her own body, she scanned me, nothing at all, she took blood, I said the dr also took blood on Friday and she said she would compare the hcg levels but I might just be too early to see anything yet….. 2 hours later she called me said this was an emergency by hcg was high enough that they should have seen something but there was nothing to see, could be hiding in my tubes but she couldn’t see it, but it’s there and it’s growing but my hcg is rising abnormally so they know it’s in the wrong place. She told me either I have key hole surgery and they will find it and remove it, or I get a chemo shot and it will dissolve the pregnancy. Or….. I could wait it out as my body may well take care of this on it’s own. And it did, I had to be at EPU every other day for bloods and 7 days later I started to bleed and had a one sided ache, it wasn’t agony it was naggy, I bled for one day it was like slime, my hcg the next day had dropped significantly and they were happy that my body had sorted it out they said often it will absorb it like a bruise. I had to keep going to EPU until
My hcg was at a non pregnant level which only took another week.
