I am 10 weeks pregnant and at the bottom of my belly is a very hard bump, it does up to the bottom of my belly button then it’s soft. But this limo is solid and it’s gotten a lot bigger in the last week. Iv only spoken to a doctor once which was over the phone. Iv not seen a doctor or a midwife yet. I did have a Private scan at 8 weeks and I was 8 weeks on the scan. Can people get a bump this early? I don’t think it’s bloating as it’s solid and it never goes down what so ever. It’s more obvious if I lay flat and feel it but my partner said last night how big it’s suddenly become. On the picture Iv got my hand Resting above the hard bump, the hard bump is below my hand

At 10 weeks the baby is still very low in your pelvis so it’s unlikely to be baby bagpipes, more likely to be bloating - you look slim and when I was young and slim bloating would also feel quite hard

I don’t understand how it’s possible for your uterus to be that large or - crucially - that high at ten weeks. Maybe someone will tell me I’m wrong… are you constipated?

Nikki037297 · 11/03/2022 12:22

No I’m not constipated. This hard lump started a few weeks ago but the bottom of my tummy just felt hard but now it sticks out and it goes to my belly button then it stops. It is very solid there is no softness in it at all…. Should I be worried???

Don't think you need to be worried. Your body is doing a lot right now, you can't predict how it's going to look. See how it feels when you lay on your stomach.

Nikki037297 · 11/03/2022 13:48

@ReeseWitherfork it feels squished
And the other night me and DP were doing the deed, he was on top and said he could feel it pushing into his lower stomach like a solid ball inbetween us

I don’t think it could be the baby as they only reach your belly button at around 20 weeks. I had hard bloating in my first trimester, which went at around 14ish weeks. I then didn’t have a bump until last week at 19 weeks!

No. You probably need a fart.

brilliantbrunette · 11/03/2022 15:25

Nope it's just wind

OnlyNoodlesMichael · 11/03/2022 15:28

I was told it was more likely to be bloating in the first trimester. Don't think an actual bump appeared until closer to 20 weeks.

So been to see my midwife today and told her about this and asked her to feel if I was to lay flat on the bed she was more than happy to take a look and a prod and I do 100000% have a baby bump. She said since it’s not my first baby I will show sooner and it’s nothing to be worried about at all, she sees this all the time in mums who have had previous pregnancies.
