Morning All,
I am 27 weeks today and just wondering what kind of movements you have or had at this point. In the mornings I tend to get a couple of kicks but more like twisting and turning movements anyone know if this is normal ?? Also getting very low down constant tapping motion in my pelvis for like a minute at a time. Am becoming so anxious over movements at this point I’ve nearly been going to triage about 3 times before he starts moving again. Struggling so much to recognise pattern.

I don't know if I would say there would ever be a pattern...There was a time I think at 30 weeks where mine didn't move for like 12 hours and I was concerned, as soon as I got to the hospital he started partying in there and he was completely fine...Its really sporadic I would say. Also If I'd ever had a cold drink or immediately after eating mine would move a lot more.

@ISayItLikeItIs thanks for your reply it’s so hard isn’t it to be like what even is a pattern especially when we are told not to count kicks but recognise the pattern and then these babies don’t give us a solids pattern. I feel like am getting less actual kicks but am getting more movements like turnings so do I try to recognise movements ans kicks it as mind field. Roll on June when he’s kicking me with his real feet outside 😂😂

My midwife said to me that you’ll spot a pattern of movements after 28 weeks when the baby is bigger so movements feel stronger.
I’m 34 weeks and wouldn’t say I’ve noticed a pattern to it.
Instead I just make sure I rest frequently and sit quietly to feel the baby move. When you’re up and about you may not notice the baby’s movements because you’re so busy.
The only thing I’ve noticed is the baby kicks like mad if I’m slightly later eating my meals 😂

Also-
My midwife said to me if you’re worried about movements and it’s been a while since you’ve felt anything then you should have a really cold drink, a sugary snack and then lie on your left side for half an hour. Once the time is up then quickly move onto your right side and stay there for half an hour. Once the hour has passed, sit up and see if you can feel any movements.
If not then phone triage and explain what you’ve tried. Remember though, baby’s sleep too or might turn and kick into your back which you might not feel right now!

@Hiddenvoice thanks for your reply I’ve been out and about today and didn’t feel much but been lying down for an hour now and staring to feel kicks. There such a worry these babies. still feeling everything low down to thought would be higher by now xxx
