Hey!
I'm 16 weeks pregnant today - and I'm really struggling to get into a mentality that I am actually having a baby.

I don't have any symptoms, aches or pains etc, I have occasional bloating but other than that no bump. I've lost 1/2 a stone too.

I've had 4 scans (one NHS) and there definitely is a baby in there.

Is this normal or does anyone else feel like this? Feeling like I'm planning to have a baby in the future when we talk about it, not like one is actually on the way....

I should be feeling lucky when I read about all the people with horrendous sickness - but I did expect to feel something?!?

Hi I am exactly the same am 27 weeks tomorrow and haven’t had a single symptom accept I was extremely tired from 5 to 9 weeks. I feel like myself but I have a little wriggler in my belly now. Am counting myself as lucky because people have such a hard time everyone is shocked how I’ve sailed through it. Maybe because am abit dramatic with everything else in life 😂😂

Definitely normal, apart from the odd cramping and nausea for a couple of weeks in the first trimester I felt absolutely nothing till 23/24 weeks when I finally felt the baby move. I was convinced that even after having scans there was nothing in there 😂

Ah thanks ladies - you've made me feel better straight away.
It's a scary time isn't it?! I have my 16 weeks midwife appointment tomorrow and a gender scan on Saturday so hoping those two things will make it feel real!

This!

Slight nausea when hungry is a more common symptom Wink

I had very comfortable pregnancies and slept well till the end

I'm 37 weeks on Saturday and it still doesn't feel real, lol. Despite being very heavy and with ridiculously strong movements and 6 scans under my belt I still can't believe a baby is actually going to come out of me!

I’m also 16 weeks and feel exactly the same. I can’t tell you when it changes but I do think it’s normal! I’ve not told most people as it’s too surreal.

wishuponastar1988 · 10/03/2022 20:57

Yes I have felt the same!! I have had terrible sickness though until around 15 weeks but then still didn't feel pregnant and couldn't get my head round it. I'm 19 weeks now and still feel like that but the last few days I've been looking down and seeing my stomach bulging out thinking omg there's actually a baby in there Grin such a weird feeling!!!

I felt the same my whole pregnancy. Even straight after my baby was born I still felt somehow detached. She's nearly 1 now and it all feels VERY real. 😂
