29 weeks - sickness is back..

I’ve suffered quite badly with nausea and sickness - not as bad as hyperemesis but started at 6 weeks and stopped about 24 weeks. Really struggled with what to eat and to enjoy food as just always had that underlining feeling of sickness … anyway had a relatively pleasant 5 weeks and it’s back again 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Am so sick of food, don’t fancy anything - am forcing myself to eat so not concerned about that, but back to not having anything nutritious …

Anyone else in same boat .. just having a general moan really..

One thing tho, after the baby comes does food enjoyment come back? I honestly worry I will never enjoy food again x

I feel exactly the same! I’m 20 weeks and I’ve really struggled with food the whole way through.
I actually had a cry because now I can’t eat cheese either as it’s giving me heartburn. I miss red wine and cheese 😂
Even things that I can eat one week are causing me to be sick in my mouth the next, it’s so strange.
I’m feeling very sorry for myself at the moment and also wonder if I will ever enjoy food again!

I struggled with sickness /nausea up until about 24 weeks it went away then came back with a vengeance between 27/28 weeks i. I’m
Now 29 weeks and it has gone away again. Midwife said it’s just to do with fluctuating hormones. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long for you!

Thanks for your replies ladies, I ended up being sick most of last night so didn’t go back to phone 🤦‍♀️

@Jupiter92 awwww they are my two favourite things too …. Hopefully you get a good few weeks soon, it got loads better at about 23 weeks for me, I just didn’t expect it to return 🤦‍♀️

@164Stars awww that sounds a similar pattern to me, I hope it does away again like it did for you … we are about same duration in, so not long to go now!

Hi OP

I’m in the exact same boat! I had bad sickness and nausea but wouldn’t say it was HG until about 25 weeks. Always felt sick throughout but after that it was just a horrible taste in my mouth and a bit more bare able. I’m 32 weeks now and the sickness and nausea has gone back to almost being as bad as my first trimester. It’s been back for about 3 weeks and it’s just making me miserable 😔 it’s rubbish I don’t have any advice but you’re not alone. I’m wondering whether to give the doctor a ring if it’s not better after the weekend and see if I can have any anti sickness medication.

@Lady929 oh noooo so sorry to hear your feeling rubbish. I am on cyclizine and it helps slightly, so maybe worth getting something. It doesn’t stop the sickness for me but does take the edge off and helps especially if I am leaving the house … your so close now .. I just wonder if I will enjoy food again 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Xx

I was sick after every meal the whole way through my pregnancy with ds2 not ideal but I didn't actually feel sick once I had been sick so then would have something else abs that normally stayed. After he was born I lived eating again so promise you will enjoy food again the toast after giving birth was amazing and I had a trainee midwife with me who got me more toast once I was on the ward as she thought I deserved more as I had been sick so much !!!
