Anyone had this ? I've got an ache today in my Pubic bone, or behind it can't tell really. It's not constant and just when I do certain movements. Is this normal at 9 weeks ? I've got abit of hip pain too
Anyone know if it's normal ?

You could have pelvic gridle pain, check out pelvic partnership website and fb page for more info, it’s not harmful for baby but can cause you lots of pain and discomfort and without the right treatment will worsen as pregnancy goes on. Try not to overdo it and lie with a pillow between knees. Is it your first pregnancy?

@birdglasspen thanks for replying. Is it not too early for that ? No my second pregnancy but nearly 8 years gap

I had exactly the same, was worried about SPD but it virtually disappeared come 14 weeks. I still have some niggles but nothing like the pain before. I couldn't lie on my side even with a cushion. I put it down to a surge in hormones relaxing the ligaments. There is hope for you that it will get better. But speak to your midwife in the meantime just in case it doesn't

I had this, it went away about 13 weeks ish and I’ve been fine since. I’m still jogging 5k at 33 weeks (with a support band) I ran the London marathon at 11 weeks so I was worried I’d damaged something/triggered SPD but my physio said it was probably hormonal and we’d keep an eye on it. Sure enough it disappeared! I hope yours does too Flowers

@pubicbonepains what was the outcome here if you don't mind sharing? I'm on my third pregnancy after two miscarriages and I had this burning sensation behind my pubic bone for about 5 days before miscarrying my second pregnancy, and I'm starting to feel it again now (I'm just 5 weeks). I don't know the feeling was associated with miscarriage before or not? I'd describe it as a dull ache/mild burning xx

Hi @Tor88 congrats on your pregnancy. Must've just been early pregnancy niggles, I had my baby girl 5 days ago. Everything starts shifting about really early and got to say the pain only got worse for me !

Tor88 · 04/10/2022 17:15

@thunderonlyhappenswhenitsraining oh that's great congratulations 💞👏 Yes hoping it's just that, just making me nervous because this exact feeling came on quite strongly right before my second miscarriage. But hopefully it's a good sign this time somehow 🤞😅

@Tor88 the anxiety is so hard. Wishing you lots of luck and sending love

@thunderonlyhappenswhenitsraining it's horrid, just praying really. Thank you and thanks replying - good luck with new motherhood!!xx

I had it in both my previous pregnancies, and have it again in this one (only 5 weeks). I reckon it must be due to the hormone changes. X
