I'm 7 weeks pregnant (roughly) and prior to getting pregnant, I would get pain in my hips and knees in the lead up to my period. I'm now experiencing that and want to know if this is normal? Or if it's a sign I'm going to bleed soon :(

TIA
A super anxious mum to be!

We can't know that. Sorry. Talk to midwife if you are anxious and have any serious pain. But random small pains when pregnant are not uncommon as your body starts relaxing joints and changing due to massive hormone influx. It's building a baby in there so its strong stuff...

I always get bad knee pain in first trimester.

I get bad knee pain (always the left knee for some reason) before my period and had it before my positive test so obviously I thought I was going to come on. I've also had it since on and off I'm 9+3 now

It’s not helpful, but nobody can know. Everything and nothing is normal in early pregnancy. My early weeks were spent with regular period pains, feeling like I was about to start my period, and losing all pregnancy symptoms for days at a time. Currently 38 weeks, so it clearly wasn’t anything to worry about. (Although I always did!).

Pregnancy is a stressful and worrying time, especially in the early days before you’ve had your scans etc

As pp said sadly we can’t know for sure. If you’re feeling unwell or worried then try speak to a midwife.
My first trimester felt like period cramps, sore heads, aching joints. A lot of pregnancy symptoms are the same as period ones.
Throughout my pregnancy I’ve had really sore joints in my hips and knees. My midwife has said it’s my hormones and my body making changes.
Try to relax, pregnancy can be stressful but don’t let it overwhelm you!
