VBAC induction

What does a VBAC induction entail? I've heard so many rumours about how you can't have a hormone induction and some sort of balloon? I'm hoping to try for a VBAC but don't don't an appointment with a consultant for around 8-10 weeks and some unexpected feelings surrounding birth have come up so feeling quite stressed about it all. Would appreciate positive experiences but would be good to hear all stories

My VBAC notes state I should be offered a cervical sweep at 40 weeks and for induction, I am only to be offered artificial rupture of membranes and oxytocin infusion. However I will only accept the sweep, if it doesn’t work I’m going to opt for a c-section personally as the risk of scar rupture increases with medical induction.
