Hi mum2sam
I am 33 weeks and i have tried to massage my lo out of my rib andd he is not coming out i guess his feet love it there. good luck!

Hey, im now 35 weeks, my LO was on my ribs for ages could not sit down for longer than 10 minutes without being in agony - only comfortable position was lying down or standing. I kept massaging my bump every night and about 4 weeks ago she just moved and no pain now!!
Totally understand what ur going through!! Not long left now though. Good luck xx

Mine seems to prefer my right hip - constantly pushing against it (the very front of the hip bone - the pointy bit iykwim). V uncomfortable, especially when I am lying on my back or right side(yes, I know I should be on my left, but too restless to stay in one position all the time). Sometimes I try and heft it out of the way, but it doesn't seem to like that

Kela, does it matter which side you lie on?? I always lie on my right side??

madmouse · 04/01/2008 22:27

Sometimes it helps to just lean forward over the sofa/bed/birthball and relax. Worked when my lo stuck his bum out jsut under my ribs making it impossible to sit.

Apparently you should try and lie on your left as it helps get the baby in the best position for birth, with the spine on the left. But I tend to find that when I wake up in the middle of the night, the hip I am lying on hurts and I have to turn over in order to get back to sleep.
