Is this a symptom of pregnancy or something else?

Hi all

I am currently 37+5, and in the last couple of days have noticed increased joint pain; not just in my hips/pelvis etc where I would expect to be a bit uncomfortable, but also in other places - my knee and ankle which I have had problems with in the past, and in particular my fingers, which are quite sore, and almost stiff. Is this just one of those things I need to put up with for now, or does it sound unrelated to being pg?

The hormone Relaxin makes all your ligaments loosen up in prep for birth, which puts added pressure on joints iyswim. It will be better soon!

was going to say the same as FA, pregnancy can bring up alot of old complaints as the strain on the body is so much

YOu may also find that you are stiff in the mornings, even some weeks after the birth. Thought it was just me until a friend revealed she also had trouble getting out of bed in the morning and it wasn't entirely down to lost sleep.

Cool, thanks for the quick answers, thought it probably was hormones, but just wanted to check!
