I will be hitting 36 when I am due, and I always planned to have more when younger..
Given it took nearly 2 years to get pregnant.. and ALL the things I've learned since pregnancy I never knew (risks in first few weeks, nerves for scans, waiting on results)... I'm thinking about my second... and worried if it takes 2 years again that it's just getting riskier and riskier.

I am just so happy to have this one coming, looking forward to it. But want to plan ahead. Could it be easier to get prenant second time around... at least we know it can be done!

It's funny how a few weeks ago all we begged and prayed for was this pregnancy to go well... and now its almost like I am asking for too much!

I felt the same having taken 15 cycles to get pregnant with my son. We started trying the month after he turned one and I am now 6 weeks pregnant with number 2 after only 3 cycles. I'm still in shock I think and not expecting it to work out but it seems it can happen :)

@TheBirdintheCave - i am not sure there is any science behind it taking less cycles the second time around .

I feel the same, already thinking about the next one! I'm 20 weeks and will be 34 when the baby is born. I 100% want two children maybe 3. So I don't want to leave it too long. I had two MCs and lost a twin this pregnancy, I mention that because if it had been a singleton pregnancy like the first 2 I'd have possibly had a 3rd MC. I feel very lucky I got two chances this time an released two eggs.
The first two pregnancies happened just not using contraceptive and it took about 6 months. The 3rd one I used OPKs and got pregnant 1st month TTC. So I think I will wait until my 1st is 6 months old then start TTC again.
I've also read stories of women who conceived very easily on baby 1 and struggled then with the 2nd so I don't want to leave it too long before TTC in case there are set backs.
