Hi all,

33+1 today and last night I had immense pressure down low in my vagina area and today on and off pressure in bump. I think baby has ‘dropped’ totally down, bump is so different…. Is there a high chance baby will come before due date or can babies get in the position ready, 7 weeks before due date?

Immense pressure in *bum, not bump!

Your body definitely sounds like it's getting ready but I recall my first feeling like he was about to fall out for weeks before he came. I wouldn't assume anything.

Yes totally normal for first pregnancy for baby to engage a few weeks before due date, in subsequent pregnancy’s they usually engage later, or even when labour begins!

ShowOfHands · 07/03/2022 19:05

Completely normal. First babies engage early and it means nothing in terms of labour.

My first was fully engaged from 31wks and stayed there.
