When can I test?

Hi all,

Me and my husband having been trying for a baby since I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks at the end of December.

This is the first cycle where I've managed to see a surge in my LH levels and get a static smiley face on the CB tests.

My period is due in 2 days on Wednesday but I only ovulated last Monday, so I am only 7dpo today. My cycles are normally 25 days long and I ovulate on day 15/16.

When would you advise testing? If I test on Wednesday and it is negative will there still be a chance as I would only be 9dpo then?

I feel like I'm having similar symptoms to last time, particularly the stabbing pains down below so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but I so want to be pregnant!

Thanks x

I'm the same, due on on Wednesday. My app says to test next week. I'm so confused.

I did do one on Saturday but negative. I've got weird things happening, spotty, weeing more, emotional.... So here's hoping.

Have you tested?

Nellie1027 · 07/03/2022 18:24

@BeautifulBirds someone I know got more spotty before she tested positive, and weeing more is a sign!

I feel really tired and get lightheaded sometimes, and I have weird stabby feelings like ovulation pain but on both sides.

It's hard as I'm a massive symptom spotter and I wish I'd just relax a bit more!

I did a test earlier and negative so feeling a bit sad ☹️

It might just be too early yet. I remember a time in my life I was glad my period came.... Haha

Nellie1027 · 07/03/2022 18:39

@BeautifulBirds I know same haha how things have changed!

Hope you get your positive soon :)

I was told the best time to test is no earlier than 12dpo if you can hold out till then, good luck ladies ⭐

Nellie1027 · 07/03/2022 19:36

@BeautifulBirds thank you!

@allthingssparkly thanks! I will try and wait!

How are you going?

Nellie1027 · 09/03/2022 11:31

@BeautifulBirds still negative, but no period yet today!

How about you?

I'm the same and up till now no sign of period either. Hate the waiting, thinking a test would be accurate at this stage of cycle. 🤷‍♀️

Nellie1027 · 09/03/2022 16:26

I'm not sure though as I'm still only 9dpo so that still seems early even if my period hasn't come? Oh this is such a confusing process!

Just to let you know I got a faint positive on a Clear Blue early detection, First Response and Easy at Home strips this morning (went a bit overboard but I had to be sure!)

That's amazing. Congratulations
