Clear blue says 2-3 weeks

Hi everyone,

My clear blue has been stuck on 2-3 weeks for over a week and I've been testing positive for about two weeks on tests. The apps are calculating that I'm 4w5d from my last period but my cycles are irregular. Can anyone shine a light on how far along I might actually be ? My last period started feb 3rd. I currently have covid so can't go for a scan and I'm just really confused about how far along I am. I feel nauseous no appetite sore boobs and hypersensitive about my stomach like I'm really aware of every sensation and cramp.

Any help would be appreciated :)

There's a huge range for 2-3 weeks between 153 and 2753 according to the instructions. So your hcg may well be going up fine and just still be in that huge range.

dementedpixie · 07/03/2022 07:54

2-3 means 4-5 weeks pregnant on those tests as they count from conception and that's not how a pregnancy is dated.

Dreamer30 · 07/03/2022 08:04

As pp said, the range is huge from 2-3 to 3+. I didn't do another clearblue digital after I got 2-3 as I know someone women have said they never got it.
If it helps, at 4w+6d my hcg was 1503 so if you really want that 3+ maybe just wait a few days :)

Fpop15 · 07/03/2022 08:52

So In effect I could either be 4w5d like it says or further along then if the dates aren't reliable ?

2-3 weeks is correct based on your app as it means 4-5. But those tests arnt dead set and if your unsure of your dates you could be a little further ahead, which seems most likely if you’ve been testing positive for 2 weeks already. I’d stay away from those tests OP, they are just anxiety inducing

GinnyBee · 07/03/2022 09:38

Yep, as pointed out 2-3 on CB weeks indicator is about right for where you would be from LMP. A scan this early wouldn't help either as you generally can't see much at all until after 6 weeks anyway. And then the pregnancy won't be officially dated until your 12-week scan, up to then they'll just go with your LMP.

Hey, if it helps, I remember my MW said they all hate those tests, they cause so much stress when they don't "progress" in weeks.

Mine didn't - but the kiddos were all very much there and are sitting safely at school now Smile

Thank you everyone for your advice I really appreciate it xx

I got a bit fixated with this in the earlier weeks of my pregnancy so I decided to stop using them as they were driving me mad, and I booked in for an early reassurance scan as soon as I was able to (I had mine at 7+4). It is hard to force yourself not to buy those tests any more but I wasn't getting anything positive out of taking them so it made sense for me to stop x

2-3 is weeks from conception which means 4-5 weeks pregnant

Gb2314 · 30/01/2023 17:58

What was the outcome as mine has done the same and I’m worried.

Gb2314 · 30/01/2023 17:59

Rir what was the outcome as mine has done the same and I’m worried. I tested 3+ weeks yesterday and 2-3 weeks today.

MP89 · 05/02/2023 18:33

What was your outcome? I've just had this....

Rainbowblue123 · 19/03/2023 23:32

Good evening ladies. Me and my partner are debate. Our test was 2-3 on the 6 of March (1-2 day before) does this mean we made the gift on valentines day or end of January.. (we have ironing next Sunday riding on who is right) 🙈

Rhy91 · 05/02/2024 10:33

i done 2 cheap pt last Monday . 3 days late had 2 very strong positive results asap ..Thursday I done a cb and it came back 3+ weeks . Done a cb again. This morning and it’s now saying 2-3 .. any idea what is happening ? I had 2 periods in December? Well definitely the beginning and I don’t really remember the one at the end of December but I definitely bled ? I’m just so confused on how many weeks I am ? Or why the tests are saying different dates ?

northernsunshine · 26/03/2024 05:37

Hi @Rhy91 @Rainbowblue123 @MP89and @Gb2314 ,
what was the outcome for you guys?

thank you!

DaringHelper · 26/03/2024 10:31

@northernsunshine I now have a healthy happy 6 month old boy. It's really hard but try to ignore the weeks and go with the positive. My midwife said it could have been due to low hormone levels at the time I took my test. Good luck! (I'm MP89 but it won't let me log in!?!)

Florence2024 · 20/04/2024 01:00

Hi I'm needing some advice I tested positive on a clear blue which states 2-3 weeks. I had a period last month on the 25/3-28/3 I'm trying to work out when I conceived?! I rekindled with an old friend and had sex on 9/3 and for back into a relationship with my current partner and had sex on 17/3 and continuously up until 6/4 can someone shed a light on this I'd be so greatful. Many thanks 😊

QuaintPeachMentor · 16/06/2024 08:34

Hi Florence,

did you find out the results of this? My guess it would be the person on the 9th as that would be closer to ovulation based on a 28 day cycle.
I hope you got the result you wanted x
