Hi All, I am currently 20 + 5 with my second who we found out was a boy on Friday. At my scan I also found out I have an Anterior Placenta which is sitting just behind my belly button. Wondered if anyone else has experienced this and how many weeks was it where they started to feel hard kicks, I have been getting small ones here and there but I believe my Placenta is acting like a buffer between baby and the front of my belly.

Hi there.
I have an anterior placenta I'm currently 29 weeks with my third baby and it's the first time I've had this. I didn't really start to feel full on movements till I'd say about 22 weeks although I did feel the odd thing but could t be sure if it was baby. Now though I'm feeling them left right and centre and my cervix feels like it's getting a battering lols I think it's quite normal to feel movements a bit later with an anterior placenta as you have mentioned it will act as a cushion until baby gets bigger.

Hope that helped a little.
