Could this be part of my mucus plug? TMI

Currently 38+3 with my first baby. I had contractions consistently for 4 hours yesterday, I went to hospital and my cervix was still closed.

Just had this discharge, which looks tinged with blood. Could this possibly be some of my mucus plug?

Yes that’s exactly how a mucus plug looks. I bet those contractions were doing some good to your cervix and you may have stated to efface or every so slightly dilate. Don’t worry it’s normal your due any day now. With my first baby I went into labour exactly 39 weeks, I felt very sickly the day before labour like my morning sickness had come back to haunt me, I went to bed, could not for the life of me get comfortable, I eventually fell asleep and I woke up 5am having a contraction and my mucus plug coming out. So just relax and trust your body

It looks part of it but very little so I think it might be the start!
