Nose problems in early pregnancy NOT SMELLING

Hi,

This is my second pregancy and I am "suffering" from a weird nasal sensation. From time to time and with no apparent reason, I feel like there is water rushing up my nose (like when you do a bad tumble turn or somersault in the water).

It is quite painful and very difficult to deal with when I am trying to hide this pregnancy for a bit longer.

Oh, I'm eleven weeks and it started at six weeks. Can't track down any triggers yet.

Any ideas??

I've never experienced this but just wanted to bump for you. Hopefully someone who's experienced this will come along soon.

Probably worth mentioning to your midwife at you 12 week check, as they tend to know the answers to most things

I've not experienced it either but nose bleeds are quite common in pregnancy due to increased blood supply affecting your blood vessels - could it be related to that?

Some info here:

And more general nasal stuff:

I am 19 weeks and have experienced at least 4 quite bad nose bleeds. Gums also bleeding a lot and ears and nose hurt while swimming. flew at 13 weeks and ears hurt a lot too. all very normal apparently. I just keep blowing it all out and this can relieve it. x

My midwife had no idea about but said it sounded sinusy. I'll ask the doctor next week- it is annoying but not completely unbearable. Just another pregnancy twinge no doubt.

Thanks though!!
