First period after birth

Hi girls. I'm four weeks post partum. Two days ago I thought I was cleared from post partum bleeding until today I'm seeing heavy volumes of dark blood mixed with very fresh bleeding.

Is this my period?!!!

Didn't want to read and run - are you able to call your midwife or health visitor? I would get checked out if it's a change from what you've been experiencing over the last few weeks.

My periods came back with 6 weeks of all 3 of mine. Pp bleeding stopped. 2 weeks later period appeared & then continued same regularity as before. I breast fed all. Was gutted as thought I'd get a break!

My period came back 4 weeks after having my first! Definitely possible, but get checked if you feel worried!

My little one is 10 weeks old and I had my first period at 4 weeks pp. It was heavy as anything, lasted the usual 5 days, the second one was more like my usual period thankfully. If you're worried speak to someone.
