Greggs chicken mayo baguette

Hi all,

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and went out for lunch today at greggs. I decided to get a chicken mayo baguette which was delicious.
After eating I didn't really think about the mayo and with the eggs used. I looked on the ingredients and said pasteurized eggs which I'm guessing it's safe to have. I've read up that pregnant people should eat pasteurized and cooked egg.
So I don't know if raw pasteurized egg in mayo is safe. Anyone else had it before and pregnancy went well?
Any reasurrance would be appreciated

Midwife here, it’s completely safe, nothing to worry about. The egg has been pasteurised so is safe.

Oh this is fine
Honestly they will not make there own mayo it'll be from a jar or bottle like you'd buy at the supermarket

These were my no1 craving in my pregnancy with DD, delicious! She's now a mega healthy 22 month old 😊

I think it’s unlikely that Greggs makes their own mayo…

Totally fine.

You can eat as many raw eggs as you like as long as they've got a lion mark. (Any supermarket)

Check the guidelines here:

Ignore all the well meaning nonsense online, (especially from other countries who have different food regulations).

It's absolutely fine. Raw eggs are okay to eat now if they've the lion stamp - google shows other countries rules which aren't the same as ours.
It's actually really hard to find unpasteurised food in mainstream supermarkets and restaurants/fast food places.
