how long before spotting turns to miscarriage in early pregnancy?

hello, I'm 5+5 and have been spotting since my first bfp. It's about once a day and when I wipe, pink and sometimes red. I just wondered how long it takes to develop into a miscarriage if that is what is happening? I have a private scan booked for friday when I'll hopefully be 6 weeks. Thanks in advance, I do know everyone is different, it is just helpful to hear other people's experiences as I have not been through this before. Hope this isn't upsetting for anyone to read.

Might just be implantation bleeding, happened with my first but not my next two🤞xx

thanks for replying. I haven't had any more since this morning but it does seem to be almost every morning when I wake up. It's strange and very unnerving. I never had this with my two previous pregnancies. Thanks again for the response.

I had spotting with my last baby for the first 13 weeks on and off. It never turned into a miscarriage he’s almost 4 now. I’m almost 9 weeks and have bled a bit this time too when I was about 6-7 weeks but I had a scan last week and all was well still.
Don’t know why I bleed it’s usually after sex but with my last it wasn’t after sex it started the day my period was due, it was so scary not knowing if it was a miscarriage and having to wait it all out

Hi. Hope you're well. I'm in the same here. Spotting at 5w5d yesterday and nothing today. I'm waiting for my full miscarriage but it's very stressful not to know when I will start and it doesn't let me carry on with my daily life. I wonder how long it took for people to start to properly miscarry.

I'm 12 weeks today I've had bleeding on and off for a few weeks on Thursday I had a scan and the baby is fine the bleeding is outside the sac (Subchorionic bleeding). Not all bleeding will turn into a miscarriage it depends where or what is causing the bleeding.
