Chickenpox?

DD has been exposed at school. She has never had it so could well pick it up. Should I inform the midwife? I don't know what she will be able to do. I'm 37.3 if that makes a difference?

Have you had chickenpox?
If so, you are likely to be immune.
The incubation period is around 10-21 days so it could be ages before you know if she's caught it

Yes the issue is whether or not you have had chicken pox. Here is the NHS advice

If you haven’t had it (or you’re not sure if you have) then definitely worthwhile contacting your midwife (though as pp said it has quite a long incubation period).

You must inform your midwife if you have not had it. If you have then you don't need to worry.
