Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

That's very true @KJEL, trying to view it as a positive 😂 I really don't like ginger nuts, gingerbread...anything ginger 😩 So I have to force myself to eat them to help the nausea 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'll definitely have a look at the bands!

Hope you're okay @Mumof1boy2022 and the fall wasn't too bad!

Oh really @Pamctake2? That must have been a real mix of emotions. Actually, thinking about it, my mc was in November and I'm due in November 😦

Haha oh the thought of floating around in a pool at the moment @MLB1984 🤢 hopefully it was just a bad day for us!

Hi @ALittleBitofVitriol and @Overlyanxious! Congratulations on your bfps. @Overlyanxious I had a mc in November so I feel the same, just keep trying to tell myself that this is a different pregnancy 🤞🏻

Mumof1boy2022 · 06/03/2022 09:30

@Cruz86 I used to eat digestive biscuits and that stopped my nausea. I realised it was the folic acid and I’m on a stronger dose plus I took pregnacare and that made me even worse 😫 I stopped them at 5 months and then it stopped but if I get it again I may try the folic acid in evenings instead of morning

xreadytoglow · 06/03/2022 09:46

@Overlyanxious hi!! 👋🏼
Congratulations on your BFP! Feeling anxious is understandable.. I hope you have a happy & healthy 9 months 🤍

I went out somewhere last night and my partner gave me lemonade in a gin glass to pretend I was drinking, but I've woken up today feeling like I have actually got a hangover 😂🙈 hope I've not overdone it. The bloating is really affecting me though, I had to unzip my pants and cover myself with a coat it was really hurting!

CSR721 · 06/03/2022 09:49

Omg @xreadytoglow I said the same this morning! Was out with friends last night sipping my lemonade and this morning woke up feeling like I was drinking!

CornishSeaSwim · 06/03/2022 10:06

Hi all, I'd like to join as well please. I got my BFP yesterday, it was really strong - waited until my period was 3 days late. I am going to take another test, just to see how many weeks, but due date is likely to be around early November I think. This is my first and the nausea has really hit me, also the headaches. I am aware it is early for that so hope it's not a sign of things to come. Any advice much appreciated, I find when I eat it eases a bit but conscious I don't just want to be eating all day! Congratulations to everyone.

Cruz86 · 06/03/2022 10:21

Oh I'll give digestives a try, thanks @Mumof1boy2022. I've just started taking pregnacare (I was taking individual vitamin supplements but worried about the amounts), so maybe this has something to do with the nausea? I also take an extra folic acid tablet but do it just before bed and it does seem to be okay!

Cruz86 · 06/03/2022 10:22

Welcome and congratulations @CornishSeaSwim! I'd recommend eating little and often if you can. I tend to find that if I don't eat, the nausea is worse 🤢

Bramblecrumble21 · 06/03/2022 13:11

I'm only taking folic acid and Vitim d3 and have no nausea. Might be unrelated. In my first pregnancy my midwife said the pregnecare is a rip off and you can get vitamins from diet.

distressedmuso · 06/03/2022 13:29

Hello! Hope I can join. Due 13th November in theory. AF was due yesterday so I'm going to test again in a couple of days to make sure. Got Covid and my husband is away so I feel quite isolated. Love to lurk on mumsnet so it would be nice to join in! Hope everyone is well.

MLB1984 · 06/03/2022 14:00

@Pamctake2 oh wow 10 weeks and then only saw one at 28?! That is mad! So different to 'normal' times 🤦🏻‍♀️. I'm guessing things have changed a little bit now 🤷🏻‍♀️.
I've told my partner, sister (as I needed a woman's advice about the kidney infection and whether to go to urgent care) and my mum as then I thought I should tell her and a friend who is due a month before as I got over excited! 😂 I know I won't be able to wait until the 3 month mark to not say anything to anyone as if I feel sick at work I'm a teacher so no hiding running off from my TA 🤦🏻‍♀️. It's so difficult isn't it? Who have you told? X

@distressedmuso of course you can join! The more the merrier. Oh bless you with covid as well...so hope you're ok with it. I had it in January, it's a weird virus x

Superwomble · 06/03/2022 14:13

Congratulations everyone! 💐 I had a bfp yesterday, this will be our 4th child, the others are 7, 4.5 and almost 3. I'm feeling quite cautious about it due to having had miscarriages between DC1 and 2. I might get an early scan but will see how things go. I definitely feel older this time round as I'll be 42 in June 😊

Pamctake2 · 06/03/2022 15:21

Welcome @Superwomble amazing that this will be number 4 🥰

@MLB1984 yeah I guess covid was an unprecedented time, was definitely strange doing all the scans and appts without my partner. When I went into the hospital in labour my partner couldn't even come in until they'd checked me and confirmed I was 4cm dilated then I was allowed to call him in from the car 🙈 with a previous MC I kinda learnt that there were people I would need the support of if we got bad news so I'm just telling those people as and when it comes up (I've told about 7 people so far) as even if the pregnancy didn't progress I wouldn't want to deal with that completely alone. I think the first trimester can be lonely if you keep it all in, especially if you're feeling shitty x

Welcome @distressedmuso definitely get involved and hope Covid hasn't knocked you out too much.

@Cruz86 I've heard pregnacare can cause nausea so I'd try another brand if that's an option. I'm just taking folic acid and vit D I picked up from the supermarket. I think it's such a strange thing being pregnant so soon after a MC, it comes with a whole host of emotions but I've got to say I joined a MN group last time that moved onto fb and is still running and that support was invaluable. Having people that are feeling the same anxieties etc being able to support you is amazing and for some reason I feel like sometimes it's easier to be completely honest with strangers. What time is your scan tomorrow? Think that will be the first scan of the group, how exciting 🥰

@CornishSeaSwim I hope the nausea passes for you, if it does get really bad the GP can prescribe you something ❤️

KJEL · 06/03/2022 15:26

@Pamctake2 I haven't told anyone yet, just me and my partner know, scared to tell everyone as last time we told everyone early then had to tell them it wasn't happening which was very difficult.
No one until 28 weeks is crazy! Finally got hold of the midwife today and she said ill see someone at 9 weeks and then be booked in for a scan at 12. Not had my early scan booked yet as need to do that through the doctors and they're even harder to get hold of!

Congratulations and welcome everyone! You should add yourselves to the calendar we have going! Its lovely to see who shares dates.

@Superwomble congratulations! I have a 5 yo also but was one in a family of four and had 3 brothers! was amazing to grow up in such a big family tho.

Emmah120595 · 06/03/2022 16:07

Can I join please? Due 7th November (according to prediction from NHS) I’m 5 weeks tomorrow 😊
Anyone else booked in an early reassurance scan? I’ve got mine 16th March!

Nervousdave · 06/03/2022 16:20

Had a bit of a surprise this morning, the community midwives called and I have my booking appt on Wednesday, I'll be 5+6 from LMP dates. Thought that was a bit soon, wasn't expecting to hear til about 8 weeks ish. Anyone else?

Emmah120595 · 06/03/2022 16:21

@Nervousdave mine is when I’m around 8-9 weeks x

Bramblecrumble21 · 06/03/2022 16:28

@KJEL I have an almost 4 year old and am also one of 4.
Talking vitamins and healthy snacks. I've started to (semiconcously) have smaller meals and more snacks.
Bananas were recommended to me slightly further along in my last pregnancy to keep by my bed for a midnight snack and to help with leg cramps due to the potassium in them.
I have just had some cadied kidney beans (I made them for bento lunch box had them in the freezer) they are high in iron, potassium and magnese.
Beetroot is good too - I don't have that in.
Any other snack ideas.
I like ginger nuts and digestives too, but am thinking of moderation. Oatcakes are supposed to be good for morning sickness, but I don't like them.

Bramblecrumble21 · 06/03/2022 16:31

I had an automatic response after filling an online form to say I'll be contacted between 8-10 weeks for a booking appointment and to call them if I get to 10.

Emmah120595 · 06/03/2022 16:34

Anyone else really excited but also really anxious to be pregnant? I’m always wondering if something will go wrong and trying not to get overly excited

Chattie89 · 06/03/2022 16:41

Can I join please? Tested positive this weekend, according to the NHS calculator I'm due 11th Nov. Been feeling mostly fine so far aside from some dull cramps and a bit hot and sweaty at night. Really big surprise for us and our first baby so would be great to have some ladies to talk to! Congrats on all your BFPs!

MLB1984 · 06/03/2022 17:22

@Pamctake2 I totally agree about the telling people, even if you MC it's not something you want to keep to yourself so why not share it with some special people 🤷🏻‍♀️. Let's hope not for all of us!

I just wanted to share a multivitamin I was recommended as I've got a really sensitive stomach and body to vitamins and drugs generally and this is really gentle, plus you can buy it on Amazon! I'm taking this and methylfolate which is a more gentle folic acid as well which does exactly the same as folic acid but is great if you get nauseous 👍.

Also anyone getting evening sickness?! From 5pm onwards I feel sick until the morning and then after breakfast I'm fine! Weird...would make sense in the night but the evening despite me having dinner seems odd! Ah well it's a reassuring visitor each day I guess ☺️ x

Hey ladies

Lots of new joiners and BFPs are amazing

I've been taking vit d,vit c snd folic acid. I'm not having any sickness . I'm hoping that's not a bad thing. We had ivf and transfer 2 embies on 14.2 . The clinic say I'm 5 weeks really they've been in 3 . So maybe the sickness will be in a couple of weeks.

Sunnierdays7 · 06/03/2022 18:28

Hi I am 4 weeks today due 14/11. Pre Xmas babies 👶🏼 💙💓🙏

W1ngingit · 06/03/2022 18:42

Hi all. Hope it’s okay to join. I got a bfp on the 27th. This is an ivf cycle for me like some others I recognise on this board. I think dd is 5th Nov, but it’s scary to even say that. I’ve had a miscarriage at 7 weeks before so have my sights firmly on 12 weeks before I start to feel a little comfortable.

Congrats to all the bfps!

Is anyone else getting period-like cramps? Every time I go to the loo I expect to see blood - need to chill out a bit!
