Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

Hi everyone - hope it’s ok that I join! Very early days to - I just found out yesterday! Had another positive test this morning so fingers crossed. I’m very new to all this - with scans earlier than 8 weeks that’s something you look into privately right? Anyone recommend any clinics ? I’m in london …

I know this doesn’t really matter but I’m also really happy to be having a November baby fingers crossed! Big autumn / winter lover !

CSR721 · 05/03/2022 09:19

Congrats @Circe22 ! Yes private booked, mine is through window to the womb I've had them recommended to me by friends. I'm in Leicestershire but I know they have locations around the country x

xreadytoglow · 05/03/2022 09:34

Hey guys I hope everyone is feeling okay! I second little 6/7/8w scan pics whoever is having them first 🥰! I believe how soon mine feels (23rd) but I'm sure these next two weeks will DRAAAGG. 😂

This is my first pregnancy so not sure what to regarding self-referral etc? I asked my clinic if I should let my GP know and she said before covid they said wait until the 7w scan, but because of the covid backlogs (or lockdown babies!) everything is taking longer so I could do it now. But I just saw from you guys you can do it online? I'm in the North West if that helps. I've never done this before 🙈

Cruz86 · 05/03/2022 09:48

I think it all depends on your local trust @xreadytoglow but for me, I go onto the hospital's website and they have an online form that you can fill in to self refer x

Cruz86 · 05/03/2022 09:49

Nausea has struck with a vengeance today 🤢

xreadytoglow · 05/03/2022 10:04

Thanks @Cruz86 I'll check it out. Ooh sorry about your nausea!

KJEL · 05/03/2022 10:25

@cruz86 sorry about your nausea, ginger nut biscuits always helped me through my first pregnancy! U can also get nausea bands that some people say help from amazon? Just think, its a sign ure body is showing to say that its growing a baby! Yay!

Mumof1boy2022 · 05/03/2022 11:14

I managed to have a fall in the playground today 😫 Luckily it was in mud and kind of slow-mo. I fell up the stairs when about 5 months with my son 🙄 I don’t know why I only fall when pregnant. I am naturally clumsy though.
Also waking up crazy early, today 4.30 and the dreams are becoming horrendous and even if I sleep for minutes and wake up I’m constantly dreaming! I never had this before. This must have started as soon as I was pregnant as the dates match up. Hope it doesn’t continue throughout 😱

Pamctake2 · 05/03/2022 11:17

@Circe22 I've always used ultrasound direct they are reasonably priced (only £45 if you wait until 8weeks) and easy to book appts, depends where you are in London but there are quite a few locations.

@Cruz86 yeah it's weird because I gave birth pretty much a year to the day that I had my EPRC so when I was walking out I had a whole mix of emotions.

@KJEL those strip tests tend not to be as sensitive so may just take longer to get a stronger line on them but they are all positive which is the most important thing x

Pamctake2 · 05/03/2022 11:22

@xreadytoglow yeah definitely have a look at the hospital website of where you want to go. London is a bit different to the rest of the country I believe as I had all our appts at the hospital (I didn't tell my GP) whereas I believe other places in the country have community midwife appts at the GP surgery. As with everything it seems to be a postcode lottery as to what you need to do 🙈

Blue2020 · 05/03/2022 11:34

@Mumof1boy2022 I’m waking up really early too. My DH noticed me awake this morning and was confused. He usually leaves me to sleep. I think it’s pushed my sleep pattern forward by 3-4hrs. I feel tired most of the time too, from around midday until bedtime. I don’t know how I can keep up with my usual work schedule. Luckily only three more weeks and then work will calm down. I’m only 4+5, so it’s very early days and any aches and pains make me worry.

For anyone having an early scan do you think by the time it’s 7+5 it might be possible to have a trans abdominal scan? It says 7/8+ and I don’t know how to interpret that. I’d like to be reassured it’s in the right place and stop worrying about aches and pains.

Mumof1boy2022 · 05/03/2022 11:43

Blue2020 I can’t remember what type of scan I even had last time and I was 6 weeks then. I’m the same, I want to know it’s in the right place and all is ok. I like to think all the symptoms mean its progressing well though.
I don’t think my work ever calms down as I’m a childminder 😆 I’m falling asleep watching tv though at night 😬

Pamctake2 · 05/03/2022 12:44

@Blue2020 Some places say they do an internal before a certain number of weeks but I think you can ask them to try abdominal first if that's your preference. I had an abdominal scan at 6w6d with a previous pregnancy and saw the heartbeat fine (sadly I MC a few days later).

Justawannabemam · 05/03/2022 17:31

@xreadytoglow I'm in the North West too . Where abouts are you. ?

I've not made an appointment with a midwife yet. I'm waiting to see how my scan goes on the 11th.

xreadytoglow · 05/03/2022 18:04

@Justawannabemam I'm in Manchester! What about you?

Justawannabemam · 05/03/2022 18:15

@xreadytoglow cumbria .

At least you don't have far to travel for options of early scans . There's not much up here. As much as I love it like .x

xreadytoglow · 05/03/2022 18:23

@Justawannabemam aw lovely! Yes I bet there are plenty of options haha. There are some advantages of living in a city, although not as beautiful as Cumbria I'm sure. I'd love to live more in the outskirts eventually.

willowtree95 · 05/03/2022 18:29

Thought I would jump on I'm 4+3 this is my 5th pregnancy I suffered 3 miscarriages before my first baby was born 2 years ago

Hoping for an early scan at EPU once I've spoken to my midwife as it really helps with the anxiety I'm terrified every time I go to the loo! Can anyone relate?! 😩

So excited to see everyone's early scan pics

My DD would be 9th November :)

MLB1984 · 05/03/2022 20:53

@Pamctake2 oh really, after your 8 week scan? I'm sure I saw a midwife at 8 weeks last time...unless it's changed in covid times! ☺️ Are you in London too?

@CSR721 ha ha ahem I also woke up at 5am but was sad enough to do a test! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 my husband was confused as to what the hell I was doing!

@KJEL ah I did exactly the same make of test as you today and it looks really similar! If anything yours is darker so I hope that's even more reassuring?!

Due November 2022!

MLB1984 · 05/03/2022 20:55

@Cruz86 I'm feeling really nauseous today too! At least I hope it's that and I'm not getting the bug my daughter and husband have had 🤦🏻‍♀️. I've been doing everything I can to be careful but they are tough. It might have been made worse as I went swimming this morning as it helps relax me but maybe a bit much for so early on! 🤢

KJEL · 05/03/2022 21:15

@MLB1984 has definitely reassured me, thank you! Definitely not going to take any more tho as i think theyre just causing me stress 😆

So what other symptoms have everybody else been getting? Ive not really had any so far!?

Also, im in Lincolnshire, wondering if anyone else is around there? 😄

CSR721 · 05/03/2022 21:18

@KJEL I've had really sore boobs since before my positive and I'm having a lot of cramps and twinges of pain low down... really hoping it's not a bad sign..

Pamctake2 · 05/03/2022 21:56

@KJEL I've had no symptoms at all apart from having absolutely zero patience but not sure I can put that completely down to pregnancy 🙈🤣

@MLB1984 yeah I think I spoke to somebody on the phone around 10weeks. Last time I didn't meet a midwife until 28weeks I think, but you're right that was probably because of Covid. And Yes I'm in North London 😊

So who have people told, just partners or wider family and friends?

ALittleBitofVitriol · 06/03/2022 01:02

Hi, can I please join? I thought I was in the oct group but my readjusted dates now say around 13th Nov. My cycles have been all over the place for a while now so hard to tell, I was actually undergoing treatments for suspected early menopause, I guess they worked 😳

I'm 37, our youngest child is 8 (we also have 3 more aged 11, 14 & 16). This was a surprise, dh is thrilled. I've had a couple of mmc in the past so just trying not to worry. Feel quite nauseous- especially while my oldest was driving 😄 - that's why I tested in the first place.

Due November 2022!
Overlyanxious · 06/03/2022 07:24

Hello, just introducing myself. Congrats on all the bfps.

@xreadytoglow and @Justawannabemam I've moved over from the IVF chat.

@willowtree95 I think I'm about the same as you. My 7/8 week scan with the fertility clinic is booked for 31st March.

All feels a bit surreal and I'm quite anxious as I've had a miscarriage before
