Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

Hiiii lots of new people! Congratulations on your BFPs 🥰 such an exciting time!

Hey @W1ngingit 👋🏼 I'm also getting period pains.. I think it's from the progesterone. I've had it since I started taking it before transfer so keep reassuring myself with that but it's not easy. I keep expecting blood too and it's hard to get excited at the minute.

Speaking of telling people .. we're going to give our mums a present on Mother's Day of the scan pic in a frame, all being well 🤞🏼. I'm so excited because this will be my parents first grandchild and I know they're going to be so happy and emotional. Only 3 weeks to go.

Justawannabemam · 06/03/2022 19:00

@w1ngingit I'm a bit like that . I just hope there's a heart beat on Friday. I know that the lubion will be stopping me having a bleed. Oh and my tits are massive . I'm a g cup anyhow . Fk knows what size there gonna go too 😂

Whens your scan ?

@xreadytoglow I was also thinking about telling my mum on Mother's Day but I've stupidly booked my scan for the 28th as I have Mondays off work now, so it might have to be a day late 🙈

@MLB1984 yeah I think whichever way a pregnancy goes you need the support of those around you

@Nervousdave Exciting you have your booking appt next week - last time mine was on the phone and about 5mins so I'm curious to see if it's more worthwhile face to face. You'll have to let us all know how you get on x

xreadytoglow · 06/03/2022 20:41

@Pamctake2 aww lovely! I think it'll really catch her off guard. You could tell your mum that one of her presents didn't arrive in time?? Then give it to her Monday.

Cruz86 · 06/03/2022 20:41

Thanks @Pamctake2, maybe I'll take a look at a different brand then! It is helpful just taking the one tablet compared to the 5/6 that I would take every night while TTC 😂 How lovely that you still have a supportive group! You're so right, it's definitely much easier to be honest with people on here, especially if they've been through the same thing ☺️ The scan is at 10.40. I'm not expecting to see much but I'm glad to be in the system and can talk to them about my concerns/fears.

@Superwomble @KJEL I have a 4.5 year old boy who starts school in September, worried about how much change he'll be going through later on this year.

@Nervousdave that is quite soon but I can't imagine there'd be any reason not to go that early on?

@Emmah120595

Cruz86 · 06/03/2022 20:44

Oops, pressed post accidentally 😂

@Emmah120595 I definitely feel a mix of emotions. Is this your first pregnancy?

@MLB1984 my sickness gets worse from about 3pm 🤢

Superwomble · 06/03/2022 20:59

@Cruz86 I know it's a worry about how they'll adjust along with the transition to school. But hopefully he'll have plenty of time to settle in before the baby arrives. I am worried about how my youngest will react to not being the baby anymore, he's right in the terrible 2s atm so I'm very much hoping he's grown out of that before we've also got a newborn!

Dav87 · 06/03/2022 21:04

Hi everyone and congratulations to everyone on their BFPs - very exciting and terrifying time for us all 🥰
I got my BFP this morning at 12 dpo, I’ve had quite strong cramps all day today but hopefully that’s a good sign that everything is getting ready in there! 🤞🏻
Due on 15th November according to the calculator. This will be my second little one, I have a daughter who is 19 months and an absolute whirlwind - eeeek! Our 5th cycle TTC.
Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing evening x

MLB1984 · 06/03/2022 21:29

@xreadytoglow awww that is the sweetest way of telling your mums, I love it! 🥰 my mum knows but may have to steal that idea to tell my husbands that way (if everything is ok) she's been my rock recently and is having a big operation this week so would no doubt make her month! ☺️

@Justawannabemam ha ha I feel you with the big boob concern!!! Mine are also naturally a 30G, think I went up to a 32J or something ridiculous towards the end of my last pregnancy! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ thank goodness for bravissimo is all I can say!

Ooo can't wait to start hearing about scans! 👏🏻

OP posts:
xreadytoglow · 06/03/2022 22:04

@MLB1984 aw yes absolutely, I bet she'll be over the moon. My mum told me a year or so ago that she wanted a surprise, so I think Mother's Day will be perfect since she'll be expecting a present anyway.

Good luck to anyone with scans this week 🤍

Nervousdave · 06/03/2022 23:36

@Pamctake2 aha well this is on the phone but I've been told to estimate an hour, not sure where I'm going to hide on the phone at work for that long 🤣 my first pregnancy was in person, I am mostly just relieved that they can't weigh me over the phone...

I was on low molecular weight heparin for last pregnancy, and also think I need the high dose folic acid so maybe they're just getting me out of the way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Justawannabemam · 07/03/2022 03:16

@MLB1984 yup I'm a bravissimo girl. I am already living I'm there sports bra . Eeekkk we shouldn't complain . J Cup crickey. I've got a holiday in June I was hoping to not have to buy a new bikini 😅

Katff · 07/03/2022 04:44

I just realised I hadn’t added my DD to the list - so it’s updated below l. We are on holiday with the whole family so had to spill the beans last night - it was just too difficult to hide the not drinking! Lots of happiness as it’s the first grandchild!

@Cruz86 @Superwomble I also have a child starting school in September. It's a big deal to me but as dh pointed out she's had longer days at nursery and childcare. Plus she calls nursery school so might not be as big a change as expected. Also, she did not cope well to me changing my hours and doing 3 long days so she'll enjoy me being on maternity leave.

Overlyanxious · 07/03/2022 06:19

@Katff oh that's so nice. I also like people's plans to tell around Mother's Day.

@Dav87 congrats on the bfp.

@W1ngingit I've been getting lots of aches/cramps as well. I feel the same with the anxiety of miscarriage. I'm finding it difficult to not worry.

I also keep waking up at 3/4am and struggling to get to sleep. It's so annoying.

Pamctake2 · 07/03/2022 06:24

@xreadytoglow last time I told her around 18weeks on her/ my dads birthday so she'll probably be blown away I'm telling her early this time unless I end up waiting until Fathers Day 🤣

@Cruz86 hope all goes well this morning ❤️ when I pulled out all my tablets to find folic acid I sorted out all my TTC ones from last time and I was taking soooo many, if anyone mentioned something on a MN thread I was straight on Amazon to purchase 🙈

@Nervousdave One thing I didn't like was that they weighed me at my 12week scan and I wanted to shout 'this isn't my starting weight, it is lockdown weight and a bit of pregnancy added on' 😂

First day of work back from mat leave today and I'm already exhausted 😩

Circe22 · 07/03/2022 07:39

Oh wow I might steal that idea for Mother’s Day too if I can get a scan in time.

On the scans - seems like it can be anywhere from 6-12 weeks of you have it privately. Anyone got any insights into the right kind of time? Ideally I’d like to get it done as early as possible , but if 1 extra week means you can see a lot more I’d wait!

@Pamctake2 haha I was thinking this myself last night!

I ordered expecting better and read a big chunk of it yesterday - really recommend it’s got so much handy info in it.

Also I’m not feeling any sickness and I’ve read that nausea is a good sign… strange to thing to be hoping for, but I am! Anyone else in the same boat ?

Cruz86 · 07/03/2022 08:25

That's very true @Bramblecrumble21, the days are longer at nursery. I just hope the change of scenery and new friends/adults doesn't throw him off!

Honestly, hats off to you @Superwomble for having a young child with a newborn. I've only just got to the point where I'm ready for another 😂

Thank you @Pamctake2 ☺️ that's exactly what I'd do with tablets too, couldn't help myself! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤭

@Circe22 I would try and hold off until at least 7 weeks, probably 8 even. You should definitely see something by then.

Xx

distressedmuso · 07/03/2022 09:13

@W1ngingit yes to cramps, it feels exactly like period pain to me.

@MLB1984 Thanks for having me! I think I can leave isolation tomorrow thank god, it's been lonely but exciting to have a Covid baby I guess...

Does anyone have any tips about brushing your teeth without gagging?! Got the dental hygienist tomorrow aaaaa

Pamctake2 · 07/03/2022 09:32

@Circe22 I don't have any nausea and I didn't with my last pregnancy, some people get nausea and still have it after they MC, so definitely don't see it as an indication of a healthy pregnancy. Enjoy not feeling sick, you've got a long 9months ahead don't wish away the days you feel good ❤️ Personally I like the scan at closer to 8weeks as you can definitely see the heartbeat and the baby has taken shape - a bit more arms and legs.

Littleheart5 · 07/03/2022 09:40

Checking in ladies having been away for the weekend! First scan on the 23rd so keeping my fingers crossed, all symptoms seem to have gone (sore boobs etc) so hoping all still fine with the baby, have had a MC before at 7 weeks so hoping that isn’t repeated

ALittleBitofVitriol · 07/03/2022 09:47

Hi everyone,
@Circe22, I agree with cruz86, at least 7 weeks, closer to 8 or 9 if you're not 100% sure on dates. Any less than 7 and you risk not being able to see the heartbeat which is more stressful.

Dh blabbed to his family, it was fine, they were happy and supportive. I was nervous about judgement (biiig gap, surprise pregnancy) but they were all good. Still haven't told the kids yet. I think I'm 5 weeks tomorrow.

Thank you!
I’ve made my GP appointment this morning for referral to the midwife for the booking appointment - in my area this is usually around 10 weeks. I’ve also booked a private scan for 8 weeks, and downloaded the same pregnancy app I used for DD1… so I guess that’s all I can do for now! Time will go soooo slow over the next few weeks.
How are you all doing today? X

This will sound strange! It is 😂…..
So I’ve seems two mediums over the years that said I would have twins one day. My Nan lost a twin so it’s in my family. I got my positive 6 days before period.
My husband text me from work today saying a colleague randomly had a dream that I was pregnant and with twin boys 😱 so I told my friend and she said she has a psychic frown that predicted her girl and she said I’m older (I’m 38) already have a child who was long waited for and I’m carrying twin girls. How crazy 😱
Aside from that I’m feeling SPD I had at 6 months last time. Didn’t think it was even possible yet but looking into it a lot of people do second time 😫
