Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

@Pamctake2
I guess you have a point. Tomorrow is my first appointment finally. I can ask the doctor all my questions and voice my concerns. I hope she schedules me for blood work. But back in July when I was pregnant my numbers were good and in August the ultrasound confirmed it was a blighted ovum. I was confused bc my numbers seemed good.

Woke up this morning and took the last test that I had. Would you say the vertical line is pretty dark? Just looks different from the rest.

Due November 2022!
Bramblecrumble21 · 17/03/2022 10:05

@justwannabemam they check for downs and another congenital syndrome which has a worse prognosis than downs. www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/your-pregnancy-care/screening-for-downs-edwards-pataus-syndrome/ found what they are called Edwards and patu. Simular, but much worse than downs.

Private early scan in 3 days and I’m so nervous/excited to see bean. Will be around 7+4 and will be phoning midwife on Monday all being well. 😇 symptoms wise am constantly hungry, if I don’t eat I feel nauseous, and my boobs are as sore as they were after Ive given birth. So bloated and already wearing baggy hoodies 😳 I was a size 6 a month ago, now size 8 are getting tight 🥲

tigger2022 · 17/03/2022 11:03

I'm 5 weeks today... feel hungry and nauseous at the same time! I keep asking him/her out loud if they're OK but rudely he/she doesn't answer... another week till I can see on a scan if everything is alright!

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 11:13

@tigger2022 haha I totally get what you means, yesterday stomach was rumbling away as if I’m so hungry and yet I was not interested in food at the same time if that makes sense. I guess you just have to overcome the nausea somehow and still eat and drink well. my BP is on the low side already today but luckily not getting up too much as wfh

SonicHg · 17/03/2022 11:38

@SunnyDueNov aw thank you x

Littleheart5 · 17/03/2022 11:39

I’ve no symptoms at all yet apart from odd stomach twang! Don’t know if they’re yet to come but I think I’d feel reassured if I had a few!

xreadytoglow · 17/03/2022 12:41

I had a lot of symptoms early on but now I don't feel pregnant at all. I'm 6+2 today. I have my scan a week today so I hope everything's okay.
My boobs are still sore and I'm still thirsty/weeing more but other than that, that's all. Maybe I'm still a little bloated but not as much as I was early on.

It feels so stupid to WANT to feel sick 🙈

Cheetocat · 17/03/2022 13:45

Just got an appointment with my family doctor for the 28th, it feels like such a long wait. I'm not used to navigating health services in the country I'm in so I have no idea how it'll work but I'd prefer not to ask friends since it's so early, I'm also 6+2. I just want this first few weeks to pass.

Emmah120595 · 17/03/2022 14:15

So I haven’t posted in this group for a week now due to spotting for 8 days, I assumed the worst. Had a scan last Friday which showed pregnancy in unknown location. Had a follow up scan today…. And I’m having non identical twins! So exciting 😊 unfortunately means I am no longer due November 2022 and will be October 2022 as they are twins.

Emmah120595 · 17/03/2022 14:15

Also if it’s any reassurance I have hardly any symptoms and I’m expecting twins 😊

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 15:23

@xreadytoglow good luck with your scan! Smile I’m sure everything will be fine xx

Oh my goodness, congratulations on your twins!!

The range of symptoms that have come and gone for me in the last few days is crazy. If I didn't know I was pregnant I think I'd be worrying there was something wrong with me. I'm 4+5 and the wait for the midwife to call and book the first appointment feels like it's never going to happen.

Is anyone else finding it really hard not to say anything to anyone? I'm 38 so being more high risk I don't want to let people know until I am more confident all is ok.

xreadytoglow · 17/03/2022 15:27

Thank you @Bluehawaii29 nice to see you over here.

@Emmah120595 oh wow!!! Congratulations! What a turn of events. So happy there was nothing for you to worry about. That's also reassuring about your symptoms.

I am finding it so hard to not tell people too, I want to ask for advice and just be excited with everyone. I already told my sister because I couldn't keep it in, she's had three kids and I am 29 having my first.
Natalie2304 · 17/03/2022 15:53

@Emmah120595 oh my gosh congratulations! How exciting!

Celoo · 17/03/2022 16:01

@Cheetocat it's so hard isn't it. My DH is pretty nervous about the entire thing and I feel like I'm absolutely going to drive him bonkers by the non-stop thoughts that pop into my head. He does get not having anyone else to discuss with but I think I might end up telling my sister or friend just to let it out.

kentiapalm · 17/03/2022 16:02

@Celoo yeah I really want to tell someone but I also want to keep it quiet as long as possible until at least the 12 week scan. It's tricky! It's nice to tell random people online though.

Its so hard!! I have confided in 2 close friends and depending on the outcome of our early scan at 7w+2 we will tell most people then. (social media will wait until the 12/13 week scan. The way we view is that if it all goes well, we will tell them about it. If it all goes wrong, we would tell them about it so the timing doesn't seem to make a difference to us.

Just thought I would offer a different point of view x

TheBirdintheCave · 17/03/2022 16:10

@Emmah120595 Wow what an emotional journey that must have been! :D Congratulations on your twins!

Pamctake2 · 17/03/2022 16:17

@Justawannabemam they do the genetic screening at the 12week scan, it's optional but they can screen for Downs, Edwards' and Patau I believe. I think 10weeks is the earliest the NHS do this screening.

@BubblyOne00 it looks very, very positive to me 🥰

@xreadytoglow that sounds like a lot of symptoms to me ❤️

@Emmah120595 congratulations, how bloody exciting 😊

@Celoo is there anyone that you could confide in, whichever way the pregnancy progresses you'll need support x

Casper94 · 17/03/2022 16:19

@emmah120595 omg massive congrats that's so exciting!!

Casper94 · 17/03/2022 16:24

@roobearbaby yeah I'm of a similar mindset - we've told our mum's and our siblings and I've told my few close friends because they're the people we'd want support from if something did happen! Holding off telling everyone else until 12 weeks!

Justawannabemam · 17/03/2022 16:35

@Pamctake2 thank you. Turns out what my GP surgery told me is wrong ! So I hve an I week scan at fertility clinic on 25th then at my local hospital on 31st .

Theyve already to me I wont have them locally and it will be two and half hours away which has me stressing. And most of my care will be done there too. Or they can do some locally and video link up. I know I will receive better care there but the drive isn't the best it makes it a 5 hour round trip and potentially I would be going every 2 weeks. Hopefully dome can be done local.
