Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

@Yutes sending you sticky baby dust!
My boobs are sore too :(

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 14:51

@Yutes exactly same symptoms here. I thought I was imagining the being cold thing but it's all the time!

Littleheart5 · 08/03/2022 14:58

@Yutes I’m also cold all the time! Working at my desk with two jumpers on, a blanket over my legs and a hot water bottle!!

xreadytoglow · 08/03/2022 15:20

@KJEL that's so cute of your partner!! Made me laugh 😂

Sorry for everyone that's feeling anxious. As much as it's a nervous time for us all, also remember to take the time to enjoy it. Sending hugs!!

lovepenny · 08/03/2022 15:52

Hi guys! 👋🏻
I got my BFP a few days ago. Absolutely delighted after having a miscarriage at 10 weeks last November. Praying this is it 🌈 I'm over the moon. Xx

Emmah120595 · 08/03/2022 16:07

@lovepenny congratulations ❤️❤️ When is your predicted due date xx

Natalie2304 · 08/03/2022 16:12

I recognise your name @lovepenny congratulations! 🥰

Bramblecrumble21 · 08/03/2022 16:13

I'll be 6 weeks on Friday and today tierness hit me like a wall.

Mulner88 · 08/03/2022 17:34

Hi Everyone,

I got a positive pregnancy test on Friday and I am nearly 6 weeks. The due date calculator is saying that I will be due Nov 4th. We have been trying for 9 months and this is my first pregnancy. Feeling anxious but excited.

I self referred for the antenatal app yesterday and just wondering how long it will take to hear back, or if anyone is based in North East London area have any experience of timescales?

I'm feeling a bit different but can't describe it Grin Today I've felt quite tired but nothing extreme. From what I read, I think symptoms may ramp up from week 7 or so?

Does anyone work in healthcare in a clinical setting? Not sure whether I should tell work yet...my husband and I haven't told anyone yet but may tell close family soon.

Hoping you are all keeping well and will be good to support one another Smile xx

MLB1984 · 08/03/2022 17:54

Awww that is so cute @KJEL, wish my husband would say that! At this stage I feel like he thinks if it doesn't stick it's common and will be fine! I know it's partly self preservation for his own worry but it's far from helpful when I'm so anxious myself 😢. Sorry not meaning to slate my husband but he sometimes just doesn't get it.

Also got my second uti since becoming pregnant...have googled and it can cause miscarriage so freaking myself out but trying not to worry as it doesn't help. Just hope this isn't a recurring theme throughout my pregnancy. Anyone had them in pregnancy before and have any tips other than loads of water and cranberry juice which I'm doing? 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

Thank you @Emmah120595 for the suggestion of miscarriage reassurer! I found this one datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer when I googled. Has definitely helped me to feel a bit more positive! (Pun intended)

Pamctake2 · 08/03/2022 19:07

@Emmah120595 you are definitely not alone I had a MC in March 2020 (the day before lockdown 🙈) I'd had a scan just before 7weeks seen the heartbeat and the little bean and then a week or so later I miscarried it was all very stressful. When I fell pregnant again my anxiety was through the roof. In my last pregnancy I don't think I fully relaxed until I started to feel movement around 16weeks. I'd had private scans at 7w, 9w, 11w and 14w aswell as my 2 NHS ones. As others have said I find it easier to just look forward to the next stage, so rather than thinking about November, think about your scan date and how that is quickly approaching. I don't have any quick fixes to anxiety but know you are not alone ❤️

@Mulner88 I'm in north London, I think I'll refer myself after I have a private scan at 8weeks but I think it took about a week for them to contact me last time and then they book your booking appt in somewhere between 8-10weeks. I don't work in a healthcare setting but I think it's important for you to share when you think the time is right, are you worried about risks of your work setting? x

Mulner88 · 08/03/2022 19:15

@Pamctake2 thank you, this makes me feel better about timeframes, as this is my first time, I wasn't sure how things worked. I can do a lot of manual handling and exposed to quite unwell people as part of my job, however I could be reading too much into this and sure it wouldn't necessarily have an impact at this early stage. I think I'm just afraid that I'll jinx it all when I start telling people. as you were saying in your post, just take one step at a time is probably the best approach for managing the anxiety Smile

xreadytoglow · 08/03/2022 19:23

@Mulner88 I work in healthcare and have been in a department that doesn't involve as much manual handling (lifting patients, pushing trolleys etc) or sick patients. That's been since I started IVF so before I was confirmed pregnant. I think this will continue for me throughout.

SunnyDueNov · 08/03/2022 19:32

Good luck, I’m 41 and due nov 2nd with my first. No morning sickness but annoying moderate cramps, seems to be worse in the evenings. I can’t help thinking about miscarriages or abnormalities. Made an appointment with a midwife online but no one has contacted me... has anyone else had a similar experience? Sunny 💕

Emmah120595 · 08/03/2022 19:53

Just want to message to say thank you for everyone who’s shared their stories / fears! I thought it was just me and that I was being over reacting but knowing others feel the same makes me feel less silly. Also want to say sorry for those who have had losses, but to see you go on to have other pregnancies etc gives me the knowledge that I know id have the strength to go through it as well and it’s just this beautiful yet also horrible journey to motherhood. Wishing everyone happy healthy pregnancies and hoping we all get our little ones November xx

KJEL · 08/03/2022 20:05

Finally have my first midwife appointment booked! on the 31st March. I should be around 8w2d but will be having a scan before then to know more. My target is to just make it to this app, didnt get to go last time. But im feeling positive! and i just know this ones a sticky bean.
Think i might celebrate somehow when i make it to 8w, im so excited! and i cant wait to see that little heartbeat!
Anyone else wouldnt mind if you ended up having twins? i dont think i will be, my symptoms havent been very strong, but id definitely be happy to!

Mulner88 · 08/03/2022 20:13

@xreadytoglow Thank you, I might mention it if something comes up that I don't feel comfortable with and maybe mention in the next week or two as they'll prob have to do a risk assessment. Hope all is working out for you Smile

xreadytoglow · 08/03/2022 20:19

@Mulner88 yeah best to be safe than sorry! Like you say they'll want to do a risk assessment. I pushed for it simply because I was going through IVF and it's hella expensive 😂 so wanted to give it every chance at success. I only told our department lead, everyone else has been given another excuse as to why I'm only in the one department at the minute. & thank you, all good so far 🤞🏼

Bramblecrumble21 · 08/03/2022 21:19

Hi @Mulner88 I'm also 4th November.

dancingqueen345 · 08/03/2022 21:38

Hi ladies, can't believe it, but after being a Mumsnet user for years (mainly for AIBU) I FINALLY get to join in the pregnancy threads 🤩

I'm due 14th Nov, if someone could add me to the next due date list I would appreciate it as I'm on a phone and can't figure it out.

I have no idea what to do first - do I ring my doctors and tell them? I've seen a lot of mention of people speaking to midwives but how?! No clue where to start with anything constructive, I have however just spent a good 30 mins in Tesco wandering round the baby grow aisle 🙈🤣

Circe22 · 08/03/2022 21:54

Welcome @dancingqueen345 !
I can’t offer much advice on the midwife thing as currently muddling through myself and didn’t get very far as the birthing place I got through to said they didn’t take my postcode after my gp forwarded them as an option! If anyone has a kind of step by step I’d find that mega handy. Do you need to have a kind of general appointment before your first scan for example ?

Second feeling cold and tired. Still no nausea , but I do feel like almost a slight tugging or expanding in my belly. Although I could deffo be imagining it!

I also love how active this thread is - I swear we’re breaking mumsnet records! I’ve not really used it much before but so excited to have our own little community to go through this together. Lovely message @Emmah120595 - totally agree thanks to everyone for sharing.

Circe22 · 08/03/2022 21:58

Oh and thanks for the info you shared @Pamctake2 - that makes complete sense re gp’s and midwives too. I’ve read that there can be a bit of a divide between doctors and midwives - wondering if it feels like you need to “pick a side”?

Overlyanxious · 08/03/2022 22:10

I'm struggling to keep up with all the new messages - but congrats for all the new bfps.

It is great to have a place we can all share our news and worries.

@KJEL that's really good you are feeling positive and not too long now till your scan and midwife appointment.

@Pamctake2 I like the advice of just trying to make it to next scans/appointments. Makes it a lot more manageable.

Mulner88 · 08/03/2022 22:15

@Bramblecrumble21 ah brill Smile do you have any appointments organised yet? I'm still waiting for the midwives to get back re booking appointment
