Early scan/viability

Has anyone here gone for an early viability scan around 7 weeks? 12 weeks seems such a long time to wait for a scan and a red line doesn't feel like it's enough evidence to actually believe I'm pregnant 😱

Loads of people have. Lots of people feel much better, lots of people feel significantly more anxious, lots of people feel extremely disappointed that there's really nothing to see. Only you can know which of those kinds of people you are!

@Favourodds thank you. I'm not so concerned about 'seeing' anything, more just confirming I'm actually pregnant and that things are as they should be 😅

If I could do it again, I wouldn't have had an early scan. And I didn't with my second. I know all the reasons you want to, but honestly it only tells you if things are ok ON THAT DAY. In that moment, in fact. And in our case they weren't able to tell us if everything was ok, and I got sent home to wait and worry for two more weeks before going back.

If you've had a positive HPT, you were pregnant.

I can only guarantee you that after an early scan you will still be nervously waiting that 12 week one, even if at the time you felt reassured.

Yes I always book a private early scan some times a few just to keep my mind at ease

For my first I had a lot of bleeding and had a scan in hospital at around 8 weeks. Baby was still there and all good.

Second I paid for an early scan because I was so worried about what happened with my first. At 7 weeks baby and heartbeat seen.

I would absolutely do it again. I know I was lucky and if you are not lucky it must make the worry worse.
