Hi, I have been suffering from constant nausea and an extremely sore chest for the last 3 weeks but this morning nothing! 2 previous miscarraiges this year, is it happening again or has this happened to others without what I now see as the inevitable result? Reassurance desperately needed, if anyone has any to give.

Hi NSM

I've heard of sickness tailing off pretty quickly without it signalling a m/c - I know that soreness can ebb and flow as well. Have you lost all your symptoms, tiredness etc?

Hopefully someone will come along soon with something more concrete for you!

I had the odd morning with no m/s and I'm ok at 31 weeks. However, if you have any worries call your GP or Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital.

I think the worst part of the early part of pregnancy (before 12 weeks) isn't morning sickness etc - it's waiting to see if anything negative happens. I wore a panty-liner every day cos i thought i was going to get my period!

I had a miscarriage and still had lots of symptoms, then second time pregnant now and didnt have hardly any ssymptoms after first 5 weeks. was super paranoid but now 35 weeks pg. Cos I was so worried about lack of symptoms went to early scanning unit, they scanned me at five weeks then 8 then 12. They didnt mind at all tho i had to queue for long time each time. Symptoms come in waves anyway cos hormone is released in waves and not a constant. I feel for you but you just have to wait and see. think positive is all you can do

Thanks for all your messages. I have decided to go with my paranoia and have managed to book a private scan for 4.30 this afternoon. My EPU told me that they won't do a "reassurance" scan before 8 weeks so private is the only option.

Now I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Feeling sick now but I'm sure it's just anxiety,

Hi - I have 3 children and have had 2 miscarriages (and possibly a chemical preg now) With the first preg I had a small bleed at 7 weeks but then had all symptoms until scan at 12 weeks showed empty sac. With 3rd preg though (with 2nd child) I had appalling nausea from 7-9 weeks which abruptly subsided to very, very mild nausea. I had hormone tests at drs due to being so worried and when they finally have me my results, 2 weeks later the confirmed that yes, you are pregnant!! Helpful. The scan at 12 weeks though showed a bouncing, wriggling baby, so it is possible. Why don't you go to the drs and ask for a blood test to confirm hormone levels?

Bigfairyones - Don't you just love it when you get helpful results, glad to here that they could at least confim you where pregnant at 11 weeks.

My doctors seem immensley uninterested and 3 pregnancies and 2 miscarraiges later I have still never had so much as a telephone conversation with a MW. I'm beginning to think they are an urban myth!

I had that at 8 weeks and then it all came flooding back a week later. First scan next week though.
