Hiya!

I had an early miscarriage last month (January) I quickly became pregnant again and think I worked out that I was further along than I was. Due to the miscarriage I booked a private scan to check viability just to ease some anxiety, they couldn’t find a gestational sack anywhere but found a mass on my left ovarie which he said could be the gestational sack and the pregnancy was ectopic.

I had another internal scan and he said he was 100 percent sure the mass was a cyst and not an ectopic pregnancy and to have bloods done and repeat in 48 hours.

Tuesday hcg levels - 336
Thursday hcg levels- 468.

Now have to repeat bloods again tomorrow and go from there. Starting to feel more anxious and just wondering if anyone has had anything similar and how did it turn out?

Didn't want to read and run. I hope you find answers, I've never been through anything like this but I hope it is good news and you don't need any surgical intervention etc for an ectopic.

Thank you 😊

Hello, I hope you're doing well and your latest blood test showed an increase. I am currently on the same boat. My hcg levels are rising by not doubling. Going in tomorrow for a third beta and hoping for the best!

Yes this happened to me and it was ectopic. I found out I was pregnant the line never got darker I never had cramping so I worried it wasn’t growing so I went to see my gp she sent me to EPAC I told them my worries she said she believed me and thought I was correct to worry, scanned me, couldn’t find anything, checked my hcg and took it every other day for a week, it was rising slowly and abnormally, she said it was in the wrong place and we had to go in and find it with key hole surgery or I needed a chemo injection to dissolve it. Or I could wait it out but any one sided pain or bleeding straight to A&E. i started bleeding a few days later and a nagging feeling in my left ovary but only mild. It nagged and nagged all day I rang the EPAC and told
Them they were ok for me to stay home and said it sounded like it was resolving itself and this blood was so strange it was like slime and very bright red. Anyways I only bled for 1 day like that and the next was very light and I went back to EPAC that day and my hcg was fallen hugely and they were happy it was resolved.

Hello my dear, I'm so sorry to hear about your ectopic. You did the right thing by contacting your GP. I hope you're looking after yourself.

Did you have a negative test in-between the mc and the new pregnancy?
I've had a similar situation, slow rising hcg/no sac seen. Suspected ectopic.
It turned out I had retain products from the pregnancy which continued to give me positive pregnancy tests and abnormal rising hcg.
Just a thought.
Hth x

Hiya I had another scan still couldn’t find anything. I started bleeding quite heavily the day before and passed a clot. My levels went from 690-180 so there saying miscarriage again. Just need to monitor bloods until hcg levels are back to normal
