NT scan 3.5mm 13w5d. I’m so worry

Hi everyone, yesterday I had my NT scan and my baby measurement was 3.5mm at 13w5d. I was referred to a genetic counselor on Monday. What should I do? I’m so worried things could go bad for my baby. Anyone here has the same result as mine and it turns out completely fine. I was crying and can’t think about anything else the wholeday.

Hi! I can totally understand your worry. I’m 18 weeks pregnant and my NT measurement at 12 weeks was 3.6mm and got high risk for Down syndrome, when combined with the bloods - not the measurement alone - and I was really worried.
I had the NIPT and it all came back clear and all subsequent scans so far have been fine. I hope that helps to ease your worry a bit xxx

Thank you so much. I’m trying to go through the days but just can’t stop thinking about this TT_TT

It is quite common, have you had blood results yet?

If your overall risk came back high you should be offered the NIPT. Many high risk combined screening results come back completely fine after the NIPT :) try not to worry until you have more information! xx

Not yet, my appointment is on Monday and we will discuss what test to take from there. The waiting is just bad :(

Thank you GinnyBee. Trying to take my mind away from this. We’ll talk with the consultant on Monday.
