Cramping at 14 weeks

Hi all. I'm 14 weeks today. All day today I've had an ache which feels like period pains. Most of what I'm reading is describing round ligament pain to sharp shots of pain(which I have experienced).

So I'm really quite worried about this cramping feeling. Did this occur for anyone else?

It's normal, your body is growing!
May also be some trapped wind aswell, that gave me a lot of grief between 12-16 weeks.

Hope you're ok. I remember how much I worried during my pregnancy about this sort of stuff. I did have the same experience as you and it was round ligament pain and everything was fine but do you have the contact details for your community midwife just to check? They were always very good with me and told me they would rather I checked in with them than to sit and worry on my own

I used to get this when I was dehydrated, it's most likely ligament pain. I'd make sure you're drinking plenty and then if it doesn't go away ring the EPU. Early pregnancy is such a worrying time!

Yes I've called my midwife and waiting on a callback which I think won't happen until tomorrow, which is fine. I haven't had any worry yet in this pregnancy (which is pregnancy after consecutive miscarriages 😐) and I was starting to feel like i was safe to let positivity in. Today has set me back a bit but I'm definitely going to listen to your input and stay positive. My husband thinks the bump looks bigger today so that would make sense with the growing pains.

@Mondaymonday249 hey, how did this turn out for you?? I'm in a very similar situation. I've had a good pregnancy so far (which after two losses has been amazing), very happy 12 week scan. I'm 14 weeks tomo and for the last 24/48 hours I've been sooo crampy and uncomfortable. It feels very periody, very heavy, and is sort of radiating throughout my pelvis. I thought of a UTI but I've got no discomfort when peeing..I've messaged my midwife but haven't heard back... Just wondered if you could shed any light as your timing was just like mine. I'm hoping it's just stretching/growing pains but boy has it amped up in discomfort!!

I’m 14w 3d and I have got a lot of cramping in the lower stomach like a period is about to start. Is this normal? I rang the hospital and they told me not to go in as they weren’t too concerned.
