How did those who have 3 or more children find going from 2 to 3?

I'm nearly 12 weeks (not planned) and mostly I'm excited and think we will be fine, but other days I worry how I'll cope and what will my other two think!

My other two will be 3 and half and 18 months when this baby comes haha

Please tell me the good and bad sides of it! I need to be prepared!

Not what you're after but I'm having the same thoughts going from 1 to 2, mine is 18 months and I'm due in 3 months. I'm wondering what I was thinking going for 2 under 2! 🤣

You will be fine, you just adapt, I had 3 under 4. It was ok hard but ok

Going from 2 to 3 was easier than from 1 to 2. You know what you're doing, and have experience of juggling toddler plus newborn.

Although for me the first year was a bit of a blur.....my gaps were much the same as yours; my eldest was still in nappies at night, and I had a whole year with all three at home before DC1 started school and it started getting easier.

Getting out and about was my saviour - toddler groups where the big two could run off some energy, going for walks (get a decent double buggy and one of those boardy things you attach to the back of a buggy (can't remember what they're called)!

Lovely when they get bigger. Noisy family meals, friends in and out of the house, always something going on. It's fun having 3, very busy, but I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Now they are all grown up and it's just DH and I at home I miss the noise.

Definitely get a good sling if you don't already have one.

@CointreauVersial thank you for that! DC1 will be at nursery most mornings a week from September so hopefully that will help! We're lucky our pram system already has built in board!

I like the idea of somehing always happening be it noisy meal times or having friends round! :)

@Garman I had a wrap for DC2 but think I'm gonna invest in something easier to put on with this one haha

Ring slings are great 👍

And it's nice when they get older too. I look forward to big family get-togethers when I'm the matriarch of a huge family with heaps of grandchildren. Grin OK, I realise there are no guarantees, but I'm increasing my chances, haha.
