I’m coming up to 18 weeks on Sat and started to get really bad heartburn. It’s absolutely awful and I’ve never experienced it before!

I’ve just been chomping on Rennies whilst sipping milk and hoping for the best.

I'm 15 weeks and I have to be very careful what I eat otherwise I get near constant heartburn. Struggling with mint so try not to have to have rennies and I don't like them!

With trial and error I've decided no caffeine on an empty stomach, no crisps, nothing too sweet and latest one is no raw tomatoes. I'm also trying to drink a lot of water. Once I have it I find it very hard to shift.

No real solution but definite solidarity

I'm 29 weeks and my heartburn and acid reflux got so bad a few weeks ago, nothing over the counter was touching it. Got some omeprazole and felt better instantly, totally cleared up within a few days. I was given 20 tablets but I think I took 5-6 before I felt better and took myself off them as didn't want to be knocking it back unnecessarily. Wish I'd called the GP earlier, and not suffered through so many nights sitting upright and feeling like my whole throat was on fire!
