I’ve got a very congested chest and quite a cough this morning that has caused me to be sick twice since waking up. The “vomit” was clear with a yellow tinge. I’ve done an LFT and it’s negative but I’m really worrying as I’m calling my midwife and getting an automated message to say the number I’m dialling isn’t available on my network? My GP surgery don’t start taking calls until 8:30 but I’m wondering if I should be calling somewhere else? I don’t have a temperature, my ears are a little uncomfortable and throat a bit swollen and scratchy but it’s the chest problem I’m worried about.

111 is your best bet. They will talk to you and help you get an appointment if they think necessary.

Call labour ward or maternity triage. The numbers will be in your notes.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Second vote for Triage, my midwife always says to call direct if she's not answering.

I've got the exact same at the moment, 37 weeks today. I think it's just a bit of a bug though, nothing really that the midwife can do? Hopefully we're over it soon.

Thanks for your responses everyone! I went to the GP and my symptoms seem like a common viral infection but my heart rate has been quite high all day. I’ve been in hospital since 1:30pm being monitored and having tests done, baby is totally fine so hopefully things improve with me and I get to go home soon!
