Could it be twins?

Hello everyone,

I've just found out I'm pregnant after a fair few months TTC Baby #1.
I'm over the moon every day, and me and my partner love taking a tests just to see the line come up again, making it all feel real.

This is a test from this evening, probably an hours hold (because I am literally desperate to pee every hour) and it's come up very dark!

Twins run in mine and my partners families - I'm a twin myself, and my partners father is a twin and there's twins on his mothers side too.

I'm not actually even due my period for 3 days yet, so technically not even 'late' but I got my first positive test at 8DPO on Saturday just gone.

My question is - does anyone think it could be twins?! I have my doctors appointment coming up but I'm interested to hear opinions Halo

Could it be twins?

You won't know til the scan. Hcg levels are not a great indicator of twins as some people just have naturally high levels.

I had my positive at 9dpo. Lines were dark, had horrendous sickness until 20 weeks but was just a singleton, however I don’t have twins in the family! Sounds like it’s a good possibility for you!

I had a stronger positive and earlier with my singleton than I did with my twins. So finding out they were twins was a massive shock. I really don't think you can tell. I think the twin medical history is relevant to maternal side only and not paternal (but maybe wrong)
