My first baby DS is 3 months old. Loving being a mum and me and DH have discussed the age gap we’d aim for with babies and we want to try for baby 2 mid next year so if we were lucky and got pregnant quickly like we did first time, DS would be at least 2 years old

I had an amazing pregnancy I loved it so much and feel so blessed for it! I had an elective c section as doctors were really concerned about me trying to birth him naturally as he was weighing large and was born 10lb 5oz! So it did work out for the best I believe, my c section recovery was fantastic too just some discomfort nothing bad.

As we have spoken about trying for baby 2 next year it made me think , I wonder how different my 2nd pregnancy would be?

If you’ve had a c section then had a pregnancy/pregnancies afterwards were there any complications? This is a little worry for me , or was it smooth/no major complications?

I had my second child (c section #2) 19 months after my first which was an emergency, I didnt have any complications at all and the surgery and recovery went very well 😊

I also had an emergency c with my first born. Which after pushing and having surgery was awful to recover from. When I had my 2nd my obgyn just opted for a C. Everything went smooth and no complications. It was a much easier recovery than the first one. Good luck! 😊

There is a very very small chance of increased risk of miscarriage with CS, there is a chance that the embryo can implant at the site of the scar tissue.

However this is quite rare and you can choose to have an early private scan to check this (I did).

Am currently pregnant with #2 and feel completely normal, no issues with scar tissue or anything
