City mini gt with a carrycot?

Has anyone ever added a carrycot to the city mini gt but taken the seat unit off? so it looks more like a normal pram rather than the carrycot Plonked in the buggy seat. I have a city mini gt from my 5 year old so considering just buying the carrycot to adapt it rather than a whole new travel system

I did this with my first, I preferred that it looked like a proper pram. Most of the photos I saw were with the seat still attached.

I'm pregnant with DC2 and will leave the seat on as DD still uses the buggy at times and it'll be easier to just take off the carrycot.

Bonus of just having carrycot without seat is that the basket is more easily accessible.
