Constant Brown Spotting

Just looking for some advice/reassurance !!

Currently 8wks6 days and have been having brown spotting on and off since I was just over 5 weeks. The past few days it just seems to be constant and wont stop, everytime I wipe there's more. I did go for a private scan on Sunday and there was a lovely wee heartbeat but my mind is in overdrive and can't stop worrying !!

Long as it's not bright red and filling a pad your ok. It's very common to spot but I totally get the worry.

I've had it from about 11-18 weeks - I'm almost 19 weeks and it's only tailing off now! I had 2 bleeds - bright red, sudden gush of blood at 11 weeks, had 0 pain, midwives weren't concerned as it quickly turned brown when calmed down, then brown spotting, and again at 14 weeks - another sudden gush of red, 0 pain, I phoned triage and they got me in, couldn't find the source with my internal check and neck of the womb fully closed, baby is absolutely fine, I've had 3 scans so far! Although it's frustrating to have it happen, brown is old blood so I wouldn't worry. Apparently it can just take a while for it to make its way out, and always seems a lot more to us than it actually is. Midwives always advised me to contact them if it increased, turned red, I was in severe pain.
Can just be one of those things and be unexplainable. If it helps reassure you (as it did me as well) give your midwife a call or GP.
