Currently 5 weeks pregnant and wondering when the nausea is going to hit...

I didn’t! Some people don’t 🙂

ffscovid · 21/02/2022 14:20

About 6 weeks (and vomited multiple times a day until the baby came out Grin).

hiredandsqueak · 21/02/2022 14:32

The earliest was two days before my period was due and the latest was by six weeks. I generally stopped being sick after the placenta was being delivered. I had hideous all day sickness.

hiredandsqueak · 21/02/2022 14:34

I have three sisters and not one of them had a day's sickness so I think I must have had their share as well.

Toottooot · 21/02/2022 14:36

Never - just because you’re pregnant it doesn’t mean you’ll have sickness/nausea.

Housewife2010 · 21/02/2022 14:36

You may not have it. My sister and I have both had two children and neither of us had any sickness or nausea.

SpookyHalloween · 21/02/2022 14:38

I was ready and waiting from 6 weeks but it never happened

freckledsloth · 21/02/2022 14:46

From 6 weeks. I was in America at the time and the 10 hour flight home was not fun! DH had to hide all the holiday souvenirs because I couldn't look at them without wanting to heave. Think I was back to normal by 16 weeks.

Nicola2182 · 21/02/2022 14:47

My all day every day sickness started at approx 8 weeks and lasted to 18 weeks! Hope you don't get it as bad as I did!

firstimemamma · 21/02/2022 15:01

Never both times. You might be in the lucky 20% op.

Nat4392 · 21/02/2022 15:28

6 weeks until 16 weeks for me! Fingers crossed you won’t get any - it’s hellish!

Almostwelsh · 21/02/2022 15:30

Never

CoalCraft · 21/02/2022 16:09

With DC 1, never! I had no nausea at all. Now in my second pregnancy and had mild nausea from about 6 weeks ish, though it was easily manageable by just eating whenever I started to feel queasy and staying away from trigger smells.

Madmaxxy · 23/02/2022 22:12

I was permanently nauseous from about 5 days before my period was due, to around 14 weeks I think. Thankfully was never sick but permanent nausea is also awful

thebigpurpleone · 23/02/2022 22:17

2 weeks after positive test and didn't feel better until 16-17 weeks Sad

addictedtotheflats · 23/02/2022 22:24

About 8 weeks although i was never actually sick. I would just get waves of nausea which lasted a few minutes.

Lostlostlost3 · 23/02/2022 22:24

IVF pregnancies. 1st time- date of conception 🙈 2nd- four weeks. HG both times.

DramaAlpaca · 23/02/2022 22:27

Different with all three pregnancies.

DC1 started at 9 weeks.
DC2 started at 12 weeks, practically the minute I stopped breastfeeding DC1.
DC3 started at 5 weeks

It was horrible, nausea and vomiting that only stopped completely in all three cases at around 20 weeks.

Happierthanever91 · 23/02/2022 22:31

I had no nausea or sickness with my first pregnancy. My second and current however, I spent a good stint of my first and second trimester like Reagan from The Exorcist

Bex1010 · 24/02/2022 06:52

Thanks everyone, this is my third pregnancy and I couldn't remember when it had kicked in previously. I can confirm that it has now started GrinConfused 5 weeks and 5 days! Not necessarily vomming but just feeling disgusting all the time and major aversions to smells. Feeling like there is a loooooong way to go. Thank god for wfh

Traumdeuter · 24/02/2022 07:33

About 7-8 weeks for me and thankfully it was short-lived; no actual vomming but a general ‘ugh’ feeling for most of the day and I had to eat something almost hourly to stave it off.

Pinkflamingofly · 24/02/2022 08:04

With dc1 never. With the rest, about 6 weeks

HeyDuggeesFavouriteSquirrel · 24/02/2022 10:18

I was never sick in my first pregnancy.

MangoLipstick · 24/02/2022 10:25

It was around week 6 with dd.
I was never actually sick but had terrible all day nausea & went off so many different types of foods, I lost 6 lbs!
