Sac but no baby

I went for a private early scan and the sonographer did an external scan. She said I had a tilted uterus and could find a sac but no baby. The uterus was also an elongated shape. I am now waiting for an NHS internal scan. The insinuation is I've miscarried or ectopic. I was 8 +2. No cramps or bleeding. Has anyone had a similar experience with a happy ending?

I'm sorry - this has happened to me a few times and it's never been a good ending. If your dates are correct then at 8+2 you would see something more than just a sac.
