Hi,
I'm 18+3 in my first pregnancy and am sooooo desperate to feel my baby move! I think this morning I may have felt a movement, it kind of felt a bit like a tummy rumble in my left lower side for about 2 seconds. I know it's still relatively early to feel movements in first pregnancy but just wondered if anyone could share what their first movements felt like, and when they increased? Thank you Smile

My baby's first movement felt like popcorn popping or tiny flicks at 16 weeks.
I have an anterior placenta and I could feel him properly around 18 weeks.
Others could feel him for the first time at 20 weeks.
Now he's 28 weeks and we can see him turning around and kicking.

@Shainago thank you so much for sharing! I'm hoping I get some more movements soon, I feel like such a weirdo I keep just sitting here trying to feel something 😂

I started feeling movements at 19weeks. I can describe my movements as a giant/irregular heartbeat and I can feel it without touching my belly. The movements Comes and goes within a second.

Can't remember when I felt it with my first but am 38 weeks at the moment and the first movements felt like little pops going on inside, maybe like popcorn popping?!

I wouldn't describe it as a rumble though

Thank you both for sharing 😊 just hoping I get more obvious movements as time goes on. My friend is a week ahead of me and was telling me she'd had loads since a few weeks ago!

I think I was about that stage when I felt DD1 for first time. I had to really focus and keep still but I'm sure that's what you're feeling. It's like tiny gas bubbles. Won't be long until you are being booted constantly!! It's the best feeling and so reassuring

@crimblecrumbles ah that's reassuring to hear! Thank you for sharing. Yes I feel like when I'm sat or laid down really still I can feel something, laid down now and I just got this kind of drop feeling in my lower stomach?! Maybe over reading into things now especially seen as I just polished off a big meal 😂

My first movements were between weeks 17-19.
It felt like butterflies in my stomach and it wasn’t constant. It took a couple of weeks to feel a stronger movement.

18 weeks when I felt and saw the first movements! Even managed to get a phone vid to show the husband as he wasn’t home at the time when they started - they were much more delicate then… like little jumping popcorn pops… now at 27+3 it’s like having bambi rolling around… those feet are big and still a lot bigger to go!! Even with an anterior placenta… Enjoy and trust your instincts!!

Hi! For me it started like gas bubbles popping, at around 17 weeks. 20 weeks I was feeling more definite little flutters, and by 23 weeks I could see her kick from the outside (I have a video!!). Now 38 weeks my belly looks like an alien is ready to pop out like in the movies 😂😂😂

Somerandomgirl · 21/02/2022 14:01

At first just could feel like big ball inside of me..around 20 weeks started the pokes that u can feel and see too on your belly 🥰 and from then everyday lol
