35 weeks today and utterly exhausted! Anyone else in their 3rd trimester and ready to pop also? 🤣

No I haven’t been tested for it. I’ll discuss it at my next appointment. The midwife hasn’t seemed concerned about it measuring big so far, but I am as I was fully expecting the baby to be tiny like I am!

firstimemamma · 21/02/2022 12:54

@Readytopop2022x thank you, I know - not long now! We are going for a scan today and my 3 year old asked if the baby is going to come out when I go to hospital today, bless him.

Catchingrainbows · 21/02/2022 13:00

Congratulations! Im 36 +1 and feeling very uncomfortable now x

@Readytopop2022x eek!! Only 5-6 weeks left. Have you finished work yet? I’ve got two weeks left. Keep having heart palpitations today, think I’m just tired the storm/rain last 3 nights have been bad

My normal midwife wasn't concerned at all either. However when I met with my consultant she recommended it! Good luck xx

I know, I have 4 weeks left however my consultant doesn't want me reaching my due date as I have low iron, GD and fibroids so she said it will be before that! So potentially 3 weeks left! I'm so nervous/excited 🤣 I get that sometimes too, I believe it's common throughout pregnancy! Xx

Good luck to you too! Xx

Does anyone else on this thread have a young child / children to look after? I'm really struggling.

Not me unfortunately! But I remember vividly how much my sister struggled with her 2 when she was pregnant with my nephew!

I have a little boy who is 2, I'm 35 weeks and finding it much harder this time around. I'm quite uncomfortable and really tired. Fell asleep ok the sofa at 8 last night!

Dyra · 24/02/2022 14:04

Got a 2.5 DD. She's (fortunately!) the chillest, most easy going toddler on the planet. And yet I'm exhausted.

firstimemamma · 24/02/2022 16:09

@Dyra @easybreezy586 I have a 3 and a half year old and he is SO well behaved yet I'm really struggling! The nursery run is a killer. I dropped my son off this morning and then started limping home with tears streaming down my face as I was just so huge and in so much pain. A mum who hardly knows me took me under her wing and walked me home.

This afternoon I had to take my son for a hair cut. Everything was fine and then it suddenly showers out of nowhere on the way home. Cue a crying boy who I was trying to calm down but it was so windy so it was hard! And I ended up carrying his balance bike for part of the walk. When we get home I just want to sit down but ds wants a drink of milk and then he accidentally spills if so I end up on all fours cleaning it up. Now I'm finally sat down with a cuppa but it won't be long until ds needs his tea and then there's jobs and then his bedtime routine.

I'm just finding it all incredibly hard. I'm not due until 14th March. I have lovely friends but they all have young children of their own so I'd feel bad as for help. They already do help me - just yesterday one of them drive to me with flowers and helped me but of course that doesn't change the fact I'm knackered and huge all the time. No family nearby. Dh is amazing but works long hours on the nhs frontline. I just don't want to be pregnant anymore Sad

P.s with my first pregnancy I put on 3 stone but this time it's 4 stone and I'm finding it incredibly challenging and restrictive carrying around so much extra weight. Before I got pregnant I used to be just under 9 stone and was very active, loved going for runs etc, so being this big just feels alien to me.

easybreezy586 · 24/02/2022 16:23

Sounds like you've had a rough few days. I'm not getting much help from my dh either as he is working really long hours at the moment.
I've been leaving ds longer at nursery on days I'm really tired, so I don't have as long playing with him in the evenings. But then on the flip side I want to spend this time with him before the baby is here as I know everything will change. Confused

Sorry , don't really have any useful advice, think you've just got to take it easy as much as you can. Xx

Bless you! I wish I could give you a hug! Not long to go for you now and you'll be doing cartwheels out of the hospital! 🤣 xx

@Readytopop2022x thanks

@easybreezy586 yeah that's the dilemma isn't it! I love spending time with ds too. Think I probably overdid things at half term but it was definitely worth it. Sorry to hear you've been tired too. How do you think your little one will take to the big life change? I think mine will love it.

easybreezy586 · 24/02/2022 18:33

@firstimemamma he is really excited about being a big brother and he loves babies so I think he'll be fine. Crazy to think it's not that long until we'll be a family of 4!!

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 24/02/2022 18:37

I'm 37+4 today, and I am knackered. I have gestational diabetes and PGP, I'm so ready to have baby now!! I also have a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old. I find myself going to bed as soon as they are asleep!! Lol hope everyone is well 🙂

You and me both! I am exactly the same with GD and PGP! How's your GD??? Are you taking insulin? I'm only testing my glucose so far! No treatment yet and I'm 35* 4 xx

My GD has been ok, baby jumped up in weight a few weeks ago, but readings have been more stable since I finished work last week, thankfully. I get weekly growth scans. I take Metformin, which isn't too bad, not on insulin and happy to have avoided it so far, cos they were talking about putting me on it a few weeks ago!! Bouncing away on my birth ball hoping it may help kick start labour lol 🙂

That's fantastic news! What is your baby measuring at so far? I have a growth scan next week! When I was 32 weeks she was weighing at 5lb 🤣 xx
