Help with my pregnancy test results?

I took a test at noon and there was little to no control line but the negative line appeared. It's been about 7 hours now and there's a faint line appearing and the control line has become more prominent. Period tracker said I was supposed to start today but now says "may start today" and I took a test last week on the 10th and it was negative. My last period started on the 19 of January.

My boobs but mainly my nipples have been a tad bit sore but don't feel heavy. I have felt nauseous but felt like it was due to me eating garbage (good amount of junk food) and felt that it was my acid reflux acting up from it, when I wouldn't eat like crap I felt okay and not nauseous at all. The times I do feel nauseous, when I burp, I feel fine afterwords. I've been tired but also switched to an 8–5 job and haven't been sleeping as well. And I have no cravings whatsoever. Let me mention I also popped a generic plan b on the 29th of January, but it was 2 days after the hanky panky (said I could take it up to 72 hours). I had the reddish brown sludge last week and it lasted up to 5 days. Not sure if it was the plan b or something else. I'm just needing help.

The negative line?

There won't be a line if it's negative.

@ThatsNotMyGolem It was a cvs one step pregnancy test. It's either a - or + with a control line. The - has a line slightly going down now after 7-8 hours of it being taken.

@ThatsNotMyGolem I guess what I mean is I took the test at 12 pm, and it said negative but there was little to no control line. When I looked at it again, it was 7 pm and the control line was more prominent and now has a slightly visible line going through the negative. Im just confused about it because I know you're supposed to read it within the 10 minutes and nothing after. But I kept it just in case.

C = control. T= test.
If there’s a control line, it means the test is working.
If there’s a control line and a test line, you’re pregnant.
If there’s a control line but no test line it means you’re not pregnant.
No control line means it’s an invalid test.
Any results after the time limit are invalid. When the urine evaporates sometimes you can see a faint test line on a negative test (evap lines). This is why the tests say to discard after a few minutes.
Try a fresh test tomorrow?

Ok, cross post. Results after 7 hours don’t count. The control line thing could mean the test was a dud. So try again tomorrow. You really do have to discount any results after the time limit though. Evaporation lines are a thing and you will drive yourself mad checking the tests when they look faintly positive but are actually meaningless.

Thanks you guys, I'll try again tomorrow! I'll also update as well.
