Anterior Placenta

Hi ladies!

I have an anterior placenta, and at my 20 week scan the woman asked if I was planning on a 4d scan which I 100% was… she said it might not look clear and get good pictures due to placenta on front. I was looking to get one around 28 weeks, anyone with an anterior placenta still have an ok outcome with 4d?? :)

I had an anterior placenta. I didn't go for a 4d scan... but they gave me a free 4d 'sneak preview' at a private scan and couldn't really see him... definitely didn't make me want to opt for it

I had an anterior placementa and had a 4d scan at 16 weeks and it was very clear. I'm not sure if that will make a difference as you will be much further on than I was.

P.s. completely unrelated, but I wish I had known. Anterior placementa can increase risk of baby being 'back to back'. So stay active in labour and stay forward/on hands and knees rather than lying back.

We had a private scan at about 18 weeks just to find out gender, they switched to 4D to see if they could see her face for us and had she not constantly turned her head away then covered her face with her arms, we would have had a great shot. I'm guessing you just have to be lucky in their position, my placenta is anterior and really low and she was in a breech position.

I have an anterior placenta this time and had a 4d scan at 27 weeks. Took a bit a perseverance on the sonographer's part but managed to get some good, clear photos 👍🏼

I have an anterior placenta and had originally booked for 28 weeks but was advised to bring it forward with Window to the Womb and went at 25+3 and got these pics! Was soo happy with them!♥️

Anterior placenta here too, I had 4d scan at 28 weeks and it was lovely and clear. Albeit took a little while for baby to get in the right position!
