20week scan, no picture

Hi everyoneee
Soo i went for a emergency scan because im 20weeks don't feel baby move & because i recently had covid my midwife wanted me to be seen..
So i went with no intentions of asking to know the sex because i already knew they weren't going to tell me but they even want to give me a picture :(
But i looked to see baby and from the side view i saw one long white line where the nub would be, obs it's hard with no picture to compare with but do any of you have a 20w scan that sounds like this? If so is it boy or girl? Could u post?

I have my proper 20w scan in 2 weeks time where i will be 22weeks and will ask to know the sex so will come back and update, im just curious so if ur not interested in this post please move along and dont mind me! 😉🤣

I know its difficult to wait but a reassurance scan is just that it’s to put your mind at ease and check baby is OK. You don’t have long to wait now for your next scan, chin up!

Aw I can understand you’re disappointed. I had the opposite and went for a check up scan fully expecting not to get a photo but they gave me one. I do think it’s crazy how these things vary! It’s especially disappointing when you can’t have someone with you at the moment. 2 weeks will fly by though and at least you know all is well

Isn't it too late for a nub? I think by 16 weeks genitals are formed. You must likely saw the cord if it was a side view, I believe a potty shot is needed to tell gender at this stage.

@DoodleBelle I know I just thought she would be nice and give me a photo 🤣 2 weeks seems like such a long time 😅

@Daisy4569 aww how lucky! Yes my boyfriend couldnt be there with me because he was at work and I really wanted a photo for that reason but oh well 2 weeks to go 😍❤️

@DottieDam now that you've mentioned it im not actually sure if you can see the nub from a side view, i just assumed it was one 🤣
