Hi all, I am new to mumsnet, and 11.5 weeks in - is it normal to feel more worried that something will go wrong the more you tell people? We have started telling friends and I have to start telling workmates tomorrow, I know it sounds stupid but I just can't help thinking I should keep it to myself. It's silly - I have never ever been a worrier about my health (much the opposite), and now every slight twinge panics me...

completely normal
when are you due? have you joined the antenatal thread for that month? I found the antenatal threads to be great for this as everyone has the same worries!

could you leave telling workmates till after your scan?

MrsHOP · 01/01/2008 23:33

due end July - my first nhs scan isn't until 14th Jan but I crumbled just before Christmas and paid for one as I just wanted to check it was there! Thank you - I will go and join the antenatal thread now!

well the thing is I had resigned but had to retract it when I found out - my new job was going to be mega stressful and I made the decision to grovel to old bosses and stay put - thing is everyone still thinks I'm leaving in a couple of weeks - which is exactly when my scan is!
